Dr. Deepali Joshi is the Principal at the Himalayan Institute of Technology, Dehradun. Her academic qualifications include a B.Sc in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from DAV PG College Dehradun under HNB Garhwal University and an M.Sc in Biochemistry from HNB Garhwal University. She also has pursued a Diploma and Certificate course in Human food and dietetics from IGNOU and has completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry. She has attended multiple seminars and workshops. What do you see as the biggest challenges facing higher education today, and how do you think your institution is addressing those challenges?
Major challenges in higher education today include accessibility, affordability, technology integration, globalization, and mental health. To address these issues, institutions are using financial aid and scholarship programs for affordability, integrating online learning platforms for flexibility, forging international partnerships for a global perspective, updating curricula to meet evolving labor market needs, and improving mental health support services.
