Which latest program are you offering in your institute to help students stand apart from the crowd?

Our School of Commerce is committed to give the best quality education and growth opportunities to students. And we believe that in the present moment of globalization and digitization, regular skills upgradation is very essential for students to sustain. Therefore to bridge the gaps between students' skills, our college curriculum and industry demands, and gauge their crucial Accounting and Financial Management abilities, we are offering a full-time and 3-years duration Bachelor of Commerce program along with Certified Management Accountants US Degree.

Which factors make the programs of your institute the best and worth pursuing for students?

For the purpose of advancing his/her career and earning a lucrative salary package, one of the most distinguished professional courses a student can do is B.Com with CMA US. Because the same fact has been confirmed in one of the salary based surveys of IMA. So I would say associated job opportunities and global learning exposure makes our courses worth pursuing for future industry leaders.

What are some of the best practices your institution has implemented for the courses it is offering to students at present?

Our institution has established active organizations and groups on campus to enhance students' skills in accordance with the expectations of the corporate sector and shape them to confidently deal with the outer competitive world. Club-Beta is one long-standing, productive association which has been operating in our division for a long time and has delivered significant results by ensuring personal and professional development of our students.

Also, Club-Beta organizes an event cum trade fair called La-Foire every year, where students studying Business courses operate their company for a single day and showcase their unique skills related to sales, bookkeeping, coordination, trading, and other areas.

Other than this, we have a dedicated "Intenza Club" for PG Commerce Students, which coordinates a variety of events each year, including workshops, seminars and competitions for innovative company plans etc. and in return enables students to get required practical exposure.

How did you train yourself and your faculty to efficiently deliver the B.Com program to students?

Although all our faculty members are highly educated in their respective domains and have extensive professional backgrounds, with changing time and corporate requirements, we also need to update our skills so that we can deliver the best quality education to our young generation.

Therefore we regularly participate in Faculty Development Programs, pursue MOOC certification courses, conduct research and also present and publish papers in various conferences and national & international journals.

Also, all of us are very flexible in adapting new technologies and teaching methodologies as and when needed to fulfill individual academic needs of students. Last but not the least, we handled things seamlessly during COVID pandemic also by making best use of digital platforms like Moodle, Google Classroom.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students for a prosperous career ahead?

As we all know that we are living in a truly competitive world and to sustain here and land a lucrative job, technical expertise and non-technical competencies both are needed. Therefore I would suggest to my dear students to stay focused, dedicated and punctual towards their goals and studies. Also, work diligently, learn new things and try new adventures by coming out of your comfort zone.

Apart from all this, be optimistic, work hard for a thriving career and keep a positive attitude towards life and career, because how we think about ourselves impacts our personality in one or the other way. And in between, enhance your professional connections and don't forget to live your life to the fullest.

How do the programs of your institute ensure the future preparedness of students?

Our institution has developed an industry driven and job oriented curriculum to help students prepare for this cut-throat competitive world and entrance exams.

Also, we have put in place a detailed plan to accommodate the career needs of each student and boost their confidence. Other than this, to make students placement ready, our Training and Placement Cell regularly conduct group talks, mock interviews, orientation seminars, and other training and induction activities followed by hands-on training sessions on topics like Tally, GST and Office Automation. And it is the result of everyone's sincere efforts that our Alumni are working with leading firms and banks at present. This is how we ensure the future readiness of our students.
