You have held key positions at the Education Institute throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
Yes, the key factor in the education system is, that the vision of the institution is very important. Firstly, at Avanti’s St. Theresa, we have a vision to serve the public, particularly rural people with engineering educational services and employment. Secondly, we are concentrating on a good academic career that means in addition to the regular curriculum, we are adding different topics of current trends. We are adding these current trends in the regular college work, so that the students are fit for the upcoming jobs and higher education. These are the main key factor in any educational institution
Being the principal of Avanti's St. Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your college?
As a principal of Avanti’s St. Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology, I would like to inform you that marketing is not the right term in the Education, because education sector is service sector. If we give good service to the students, obviously the admission level as well as reputation level will increase.
We believe in giving good service to the students. Good service means suppose a student or parent enters into the educational institution, how we are receiving the first one, the second one, the student has some expectations on his career as well as on the institution. We fulfill their expectations and we take him to next level .
The second one job-related, which means we equip the student to get a job with minimum package of 6 lakhs-7 lakhs. After that, we engage them with innovative projects, which ignites the brains of students towards the startups. Hence the students are transformed as job providers rather than job seekers.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?
- In our Indian educational system has very less flexibility, Even in some areas flexibility introduced upto the employment level it is not in position to support. Many students, nowadays they got good job opportunities while they are in study. Once they go for employment they are not able to continue the education. Even they continued through distance mode, for such certificates are not carry equal value to regular study. Unfortunately in India, the distance mode or Open University certificate has not been considered valuable. Suppose any student apply for the job with distance certificate or an Open University certificate, they put the resume aside. Hence in the education system strong methodologies need to develop to continue the education in any circumstances.
- if we take the girl students after the marriage. Many female students need to take two years or three three-year or five years breaks. After that again they need to continue their education. The second problem is all girls students take monthly leave of two days, which means around 25 days in an Year. That means they are losing one month of classes. To avoid this type of difficulty flexibility need introduce in the educational system.
- Offline and online classes are required for the Indian educational system. Once the offline classes are over in the morning session, in the evening session all students can access the online class, then they got benefit from it. Next, flexibility in the examination also required.
- Educational Institute of higher education need to run round the clock.
How does the curriculum of Avanti’s St.Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology strategize to ensure the best practice of industry?
Avanti's St. Theressa Institute of Engineering Technology is affiliated to JNTU-GV, Vizianagaram. so we need to follow the curriculum of JNTU. However, we are identifying the curricular gaps to support a student. For example The lateral entry students are weak in English as well as is weak in C language and weak in mathematics. For These three additional classes we are conducting.
Nowadays the software industries jobs are very nice, that is the reason irrespective of student branch of engineering, C language, Python, and Java additional training is provided to all students. so that even if the student is a student of Mechanical, and electrical they also get benefit and they get jobs in the software industries.
In addition to this when the student is in the third year we concentrate on the CRT program which means the campus recruitment and Training program. In this CRT program arithmetic, reasoning, and logical thinking subjects are taught, after that English and coding are concentrated more. Coding is directly taught to the students by using industrial persons so that the students all-round performance will improve. By the final year 1st semester it self, the students attempted job interviews and they get good jobs also. In addition to this suppose if any student is interested in higher education, we are providing flexibility to prepare for the entrance examinations.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
Yes, this is affiliated to JNTUV as per university norms as well as Andhra Pradesh state government norms, the students of reserved categories who have the white ration card, They have a full free reimbursement facility. That is the reason students from all economic classes can start engineering studies and get certificates.
Secondly from the college side, for the students who are not able to pay full fees, we give a concession of up to 20% based on their academic credentials. Suppose category B means management quota if the parents are approached, then according to their financial status & academic achievements, we give special discounts for the students.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the university and the students are?
Yes.Here I would like to mention the quote of kothari commission, “the destiny of our India is shaped in our class room”. That is the reason. While teaching academics to the student, the student is need to transformed into a responsible citizen which is more essential than what the subject they learnt. The academic content gives a good competitive spirit. So that India will be in a great position among all the nations. Already it is proven in Chandrayaan 3. Thus we are covering the key factors of responsibility, decision-making & competitive to guide the student for future opportunities. As we affiliated to JNTU GV, what ever be the initiatives takes by the university, we implement as it is and for the benefit of the student, these three things we cover as a responsibility of mine and all our faculty members and we guide them, and we are giving a clear path to the student for their carrier.
