He has done BE from the Government College of Technology and a PhD in biomedical applications and signal processing from Anna University.

As a Principal of Sree Sakthi Engineering College, what is your philosophy of leadership?

In my opinion, leadership is effective when the person leading the people is a strong manager. And I believe that in order to achieve victory, one must not only set a clear vision, but should also have the ability to inspire a team through his/her action and management. Apart from this, a successful leader knows how to build trust among team members, accept challenges, adapt to changing situations, and remain resilient in the face of adversity. And if I talk about my leadership style, it revolves around honesty and integrity, as both are my fundamental principles while dealing with people of different mindset and experience.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

First and foremost, the dynamic and challenging world of education is intricately linked to the technology industry, which is continually evolving. And being associated with it allows me to ensure that our educational programs remain relevant and aligned with the needs of the modern workforce. And I strongly believe that education that comes with a lot of practical exposure and hands-on learning is the real education that has the power to empower our youths and future generations too. So, again working here as an educator, friend and philosopher of students provides me the ideal platform to introduce innovative teaching methods and practical experiences to prepare them for the real-world challenges. In other terms, I get countless opportunities to shape the future of our nation by nurturing the potential of the young generation, so all these factors have together contributed to my long association with the academic sector.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and ambitious students of our society?

As we all know that there is no shortcut to achieve overnight success, hence I would advise my dear ambitious students and youths of society to do hard work, as it is the only path to achieve your goals. And whenever you study, engross yourself fully in understanding the concepts, as learning isn't just about memorization; it's about truly comprehending the material. And when you grasp the fundamental concepts, nothing can stand in your way, and success becomes inevitable. So, stay dedicated, work hard, and always strive to gain a profound understanding of what you're learning. This will propel you to the top of your field.

Which best practices has your institution adopted for the Engineering courses they are offering to students at present? 

We have implemented a fusion of academic excellence and practical skills to impart knowledge to students. And recently, an innovative approach was adopted by us, wherein we incorporated data analytics within our Engineering curriculum, to make sure students can gain essential data analysis skills, as it is highly relevant in today's business world. Apart from this, we have prioritized hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and real-world case studies to not only stimulate critical thinking among students but also to promote a culture of research and innovation, so that students can effectively implement their classroom learning in actual scenarios. This combination also equips our students with a holistic and industry-ready skill set, preparing them for success in the ever-evolving field of Engineering.

And the exposure I have gained over the years acts as a cornerstone of my instructional approach today also. And to transfer my knowledge and wisdom to our students, I have implemented a pedagogical approach that prominently features case studies. 

These case studies transcend theoretical exercises and they are meticulously chosen to mirror real-world scenarios and applications. So, by exposing students to such practical challenges, we aim to guarantee they are well-equipped for the job market upon graduation. Furthermore, I remain committed to my personal and professional development by regularly participating in workshops, conferences, and staying abreast of industry trends. And this proactive approach allows me to seamlessly integrate the latest insights and practices into our program, ensuring our students receive a high-quality education that thoroughly prepares them for their future careers.

What is the top priority of your college in the next 5 years?

Our college's paramount priority for the coming years is to establish and strengthen our industrial networks and connections and we totally understand the profound significance of integrating the academic realm with the corporate landscape.
