Dr. M.D. Ashfaqul Hasan holds an M.Tech and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from esteemed institutions. Presently, he serves as a Professor within the Computer Science and Engineering department at Malla Reddy Institute of Engineering & Technology in Hyderabad. With a decade of teaching experience and three years in industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. During his tenure as the Associate Coordinator of the Research Forum at MRIET, he spearheaded the organization of numerous expert seminars, webinars, and workshops focused on advanced research methodologies and technologies. He has also made significant contributions to the academic community, serving as a Session Chair, Programme Committee Member, keynote speaker, referee, and reviewer for both national and international conferences. His research prowess is evident through his impressive publication record, which includes 20 research and technical papers featured in national and international journals and conference proceedings. Additionally, he has authored three patents, as well as technical books and book chapters. Furthermore, he maintains an active presence within various professional organizations such as the Computer Science and Engineering Society and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). My dedication lies in the realms of teaching and research. Following the completion of my Ph.D., I have immersed myself in the field of education. As the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at MRIET, my primary role is to oversee and manage all aspects of the department's operations. This includes: Academic Leadership: Providing strategic direction and academic leadership to the department, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date and in line with industry standards. Faculty Management: Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty members to maintain a high standard of teaching and research within the department. Curriculum Development: Collaborating with faculty to design and update the curriculum, incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends. Student Support: Ensuring the welfare of students by overseeing academic advising, counseling, and addressing their concerns. Research Promotion: Encouraging and facilitating research activities among faculty and students, including securing research grants and fostering collaborations. Industry Engagement: Establishing and maintaining partnerships with industry stakeholders, fostering internships, and organizing industry visits for students. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensuring that the department meets accreditation requirements and complies with relevant academic standards and regulations. Program Assessment: Implementing assessment mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and making necessary improvements. Administrative Duties: Handling administrative tasks related to the department, including scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting to higher authorities. Promoting Innovation: Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship within the department, supporting startups, and participating in innovation initiatives. My role as the Head of the Department of CSE is multifaceted, and I am committed to maintaining the department's excellence in education, research, and industry engagement."
