What do you see as the main challenges facing K. G Reddy College, and what strategies are being employed to address them?
At K.G. Reddy College of Engineering & Technology, we have a systematic approach to faculty professional development through a goal-setting process. At the beginning of the calendar year in January, faculty members outline their professional objectives using a goal-setting form. These objectives encompass various professional activities, such as the number of Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and Short-Term Training Programs (STTPs) they aim to attend, as well as participation in online courses and consideration of professional body memberships. To support faculty in achieving their goals, a mid-year institutional review is conducted to assess the progress of faculty members in reaching their set goals. If any faculty member is found not on track, a proactive approach is taken to address concerns, emphasizing the importance of meeting the established professional development objectives.
This structured process ensures faculty members have a clear pathway for professional growth, fostering continuous improvement and a commitment to ongoing learning within the academic community at K.G. Reddy College.
