I have extensive knowledge about the education sector and various aspects of educational leadership, administration, and pedagogy. Throughout my interactions, I have guided on topics ranging from curriculum development, teaching methodologies, educational technology integration, and academic research to fostering a conducive learning environment for students and educators alike. 


Being the Professor of JJMCOE, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

As a Professor in a college setting, my philosophy of leadership revolves around fostering an environment that encourages collaborative learning, critical thinking, and personal growth.


Being the Professor of JJMCOE, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

As a Professor in a college, my involvement in strategizing key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of the college involves a multifaceted approach that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a deep understanding of the institution’s vision and goals.


The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

Studying in an institute or university in India can offer numerous unique benefits and valuable experiences for inbound students. Based on my knowledge, some of the advantages that students can gain from studying in India include Rich Cultural Immersion, Interdisciplinary Education, and Global Networking Opportunities.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

As a faculty member or administrator in an engineering college, my roles and responsibilities revolve around creating a conducive learning environment and fostering the academic and personal growth of students. Effective teaching and mentorship, curriculum development and enhancement, industry collaboration, research, and innovation, etc.


What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next ten years?

Over the next ten years, engineering colleges should focus on several key priorities to adapt to the evolving landscape of technology and education. Some of these priorities include emphasizing interdisciplinary education, integrating industry-relevant skills, promoting research and innovation, enhancing technological infrastructure, and fostering entrepreneurship and start-up culture.


When you first came to JJMCOE, what was your vision for the college? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

Enhancing academic excellence, fostering innovation and research, promoting a culture of inclusivity, strengthening industry partnerships, and contributing to societal development. Regular assessment and feedback from stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners, can help in evaluating the effectiveness of the implemented strategies and adjusting the vision accordingly.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

We foster an entrepreneurial mindset among our students, encouraging them to explore innovative ideas and translate them into viable solutions. What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for JJMCOE specifically?

One of the biggest challenges that engineering colleges often face is staying abreast of the rapid advancements in technology and industry while simultaneously ensuring that their curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.


Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

I would suggest students pursue their passion and set clear goals.
