What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

Mechanical Engineering has unique opportunities in the upcoming days. The percentage of mechanical engineers will be increased, where the world is concentrating on machinery which makes their work easy. They also can learn many things like machine learning and designing which are helpful to design a machine and they can also learn programs like CAD, CATIA, and more where the technology is updating day by day, they can also learn new things.

What are the best practices in the program you are doing? 

We mainly focus on the placements of the students and also respect their ideas. If necessary, we encourage their ideas and help our students to implement their ideas. We bring awareness about mechanical engineering to them and fill their confidence in them to overcome the negative impression that was brought on mechanical engineering.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

As I said before, in any department students need to be industry-ready and also, they need to concentrate on time management along with problem-solving. We here make students industry ready and when they go out of the campus after they get the degree, they will understand how the world will be and they will be ready to face those situations.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with the program?

For any college, the industrial connection plays a key role nowadays, and especially in mechanical engineering the industrial connection is mandatory. As a part of that every year we sign MOUs with industries that will help our student's careers. We also send our students to internships and we also encourage workshops for our students.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

The main challenges we have been facing for the past few years is that the current scenario is different and the situation is the market for mechanical engineering and two more departments are not so well due to the region and some other issues. But it won’t be long lasting and soon the department will grow high and will boom.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

The career options with B.Tech are more compared to other courses. After completion of their course, they can go to higher studies or they may crack a good placement or if they are a business-minded person they can also become an entrepreneur.
