What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Throughout my career of 24 years, I have worked with various institutions in different roles and at present I am leading ALITS as its Principal, but to be honest, I have always felt that I am Guru (educator) of students and not the Principal. And over the years, I have got several opportunities to mold my students into technically proficient and socially responsible individuals, hence I would say the job is truly rewarding in all sense.

Apart from this, as we all know that education has the power to enhance the life of those who pursue it with full dedication and passion, so I also had this belief from the beginning. Last but not the least, I had a genuine passion for teaching young and ambitious minds of our society. Therefore, I would say all these factors together have helped me to stay connected with the dynamic and challenging world of education.

As the Principal of ALITS, what is your leadership philosophy?

Being the Principal of Anantha Lakshmi Institute of Technology and Sciences, my philosophy of leadership revolves around empowering my students by providing them quality education with ethical values. In addition to this, I always motivate others to give their 100% effort in whatever work they do and make it easier. Lastly, everyone whom I am working with or working for is equally important for me and I treat them so.

How does the curriculum of your institution ensure the best practices of industry?

As we are affiliated to JNTU of Anantapur, we strictly follow the curriculum designed and updated by the University. And although their curriculum is well-maintained, so to fulfill any kind of possible gaps between academia and industry, we add our own strategies to deliver education.

How is your college more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

As we are situated in a rural area, our college has students from different backgrounds. So I would say we are truly diverse and inclusive in all nature. Also, based on government rules, we offer scholarships to academically bright and unprivileged students from time to time so that they can pursue their dreams without any hussle. Lastly, we treat every student as our own child and any kind of inequality or discrimination is strictly prohibited on campus.

What are your key roles and responsibilities towards the ALITS and its students?

As the Principal of the college, my key responsibility is to solve the day-to-day problems of my faculty members and dear students and provide them with the finest quality education in accordance with industry standards. In addition to this, maintaining discipline on campus, ensuring lectures are conducted on a defined schedule and supervising all activities of the institution comes under the scope of my work.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

At present, everything is going well, but I firmly believe that in the coming years, we should focus on enhancing our process, teaching methodologies and education quality. Apart from this, our priority should be on upgrading the infrastructure and research facilities of our institution. And there should also be smart guidance for the students and instead of writing in books they need to maintain each and everything.
