Academic Qualification

  • Degree Requirement: A recognized undergraduate degree (equivalent to a German Bachelor’s) in a related field such as materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or chemistry.
  • Grade Point Average (GPA): A minimum GPA of 2.5 on the German grading scale (or equivalent).
  • Program Specific Requirement:
    • Internship: Completion of a mandatory industrial internship of at least six weeks.
    • Specialization Track: Selection of a specialization track within the program.

English Language Requirement

  • TestDaF (Test of German as a Foreign Language): Minimum score of TDN 4 in all four subtests (Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking).
  • DSH (German Language University Entrance Exam): Minimum level of DSH-2.
  • Goethe-Zertifikat C1: Equivalent level of proficiency.
  • TOEFL iBT: 87 or higher
  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 or higher
  • FCE (First Certificate in English): Grade B or better
  • CAE (Cambridge Advanced English): Grade C or better
  • CPE (Cambridge Proficiency English): Grade C or better
  • UNIcert: Level II or higher
