The scope of research topics is very broad: This covers fields such as sustainable corporate development, tribology, and joining technology, as well as machine tools and manufacturing engineering, installation engineering and handling technique, industrial automation engineering, industrial information technology, quality science, coating technology, and micro and precision instruments. You can choose to focus on one of the following three areas of specialization: production technology, automation engineering and information technology, or production management
