- Of course it has Well Experienced Professors who are specialized from ETH, and top 1% researchers
- The Research and Development is good but not on advanced topics or future tech, Industrial Technology usage with partnership of companies
Dislikes
- The courses and Examinations are tricky that we need to implement concepts solve complex problems.
- It usually takes 2.5 to 3 years to clear masters degree since since the examinations are tough and follows strict grading .
- Teaching methodology isnt that good, indeed some phd thinks students know everything and teach how they prepare for there research.
Course Curriculum
- The course was very hard such that it might take 2 additional semesters to clear the exams. The course focuses on more mathematical derivations since it works more on research.
- The positive aspects is content in course, is upto date and negative aspects is the content is not much relevant to practical point of view.
Admission Experience
-
I shortlisted 7 universities, I applied to 5 universities, 3 Got Rejected, 2 Got Admitted.
These are the colleges that got admitted from RWTH Aachen University and University of Technology Nuremberg.
I was rejected in TU Dortmund, Friedrich Alexander University Nuremberg, University of Hamburg.
The rejection reasons were insufficient ECTS, unable to clear the entrance exam, and more applicants were applied to the same program.
Firstly, the ranking was very good according to QS world 2025 stats. And the research is going good.Apply as early as possible, Submission of English proficiency and GRE and APS certificate is mandatory along with undergraduate transcripts.

The eligibility criteria is <2.5 GPA, 7 or 95 in IELTS or TOEFL, GRE must be 155+ in verbal, 160+ in Quant, 3 + in AWA. And Moreover my degree needs 12 months of experience in relevant field.

It was great but the catch is to write a Motivation Letter efficiently, and maintaining a good profile will make the universities to choose.
I applied for Winter intake 2024, I completed my training and was willing to improve my skills so thought of taking the next step towards masters. I had applied to USA as well but the university fee were too high and there is less chance of ROI as well so gave a thought to European Universities. The admission process will take 6 to 8 weeks,
I applied on March 21st and I got the result on 24th May.
Class Schedule
- My classes run through out the week, from 12 pm to 6 pm
- There are about 125 students in the class.
- About 30% Indians register for this course.
Faculty
- The faculty to student ratio is 1 : 12 i.e. 1 professor for 12 students.
- The teaching methodology is good with some courses, but for some courses its a bit hard to understand since they make some simple topics complex.
- Yes, some professors assist with Student Assistantships by giving their personal email to give some internship or thesis opportunities over EU region.
- Faculty of WZL admire the most and assisting students in a better way for doing a semester in abroad with partner universities, providing Student Assistantships.

- Its very difficult to get on campus jobs since the competition will be more and since our city is filled with students its very hard to get a on campus job.

Stepstone, zenjob and company portals platforms will help us to get part times easily but it takes time to get a part time job without references. Applying firstly basis is required when a job is posted in the portal and we need to be cautious when signing a contract as well.

Accommodation
- I choose Off-Campus accommodation, since the price of On- Campus is high and the resources are limited. Initially through AISA housing group for Indians, later used WG Gesucht application to find accommodation.
- My monthly rent will be 480 EUR with all amenities such as washmachine, dryer, electricity, gas, heater, wifi.
- My suggestion would be to apply for Studentenwerk dorms at the beginning of the year. The prices would be cheaper compared to normal apartments.
- My accommodation is 3 kms from the university and easy accessibility of public transport, most Indians stay in City Center areas.
Exams
- IELTS/TOEFL, GRE are required to send an application.
- Motivation Letter, CV, LOR, APS, GRE and Language proficiency tests are required to apply.
