UP BEd JEE 2027 Exam Pattern: Two Papers, 400 Marks, Marking Scheme and Section-wise Questions

UP BEd JEE 2027 is expected to have two offline papers of 100 questions each, for 400 marks in total.

Bundelkhand University, Jhansi kept this structure in the 2026 brochure, and the 2027 notification is expected in February 2027.

Based on the UP B.Ed JEE 2026 Information Brochure and the exam held on May 31, 2026:

• UP BEd JEE 2027 is expected to hold two papers of three hours each, held on one day.
• Each paper carries 100 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks, so the exam totals 400 marks.
• Two marks are given for a correct answer, and one-third of a mark is deducted for an incorrect answer.
• Paper 1 tests General Knowledge and a language, and Paper 2 tests General Aptitude and the graduation subject.
• Candidates should choose the subject group in the application form carefully, since only that group can be attempted.
• The UP BEd JEE 2027 notification is expected in February 2027, with the exam expected in May or June 2027.

Note: 4.70 lakh candidates registered for UP BEd JEE 2026 and 4.23 lakh appeared at 1,011 centres on May 31.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Paper 1 Exam Pattern: General Knowledge and Language

Paper 1 of UP BEd JEE 2027 carries 100 questions for 200 marks in three hours. Section A is General Knowledge and Section B is a language paper, in Hindi or English.

Section A is compulsory for every candidate. In Section B the paper has separate Hindi and English parts, and a candidate answers one language only.

• A candidate answers the questions of one language only, Hindi or English.
• General Knowledge questions cover current affairs, history, geography, polity and general science.
• Both sections carry equal marks, so a weak language score costs as much as a weak General Knowledge score.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Marking Scheme

The UP B.Ed JEE 2026 Information Brochure gives two marks for every correct answer. One-third of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. The same scheme is expected for UP BEd JEE 2027.

A question left blank costs nothing. Three incorrect answers cost one mark, and six incorrect answers cancel one correct answer.

Scores carry decimals because of the one-third deduction. The 2026 topper scored 359.329 out of 400, and the 2025 topper 362.662.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Section-wise Questions and Marks

Four sections of 50 questions make up UP BEd JEE 2027, and each section carries 100 marks. The sections differ in content, not in weight.

UP BEd JEE 2027 General Knowledge Section

General Knowledge is Section A of Paper 1, with 50 questions for 100 marks. It is the only section with no fixed syllabus, so the score spread between candidates is widest here.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Language Section (Hindi or English)

The Language section is Section B of Paper 1, with 50 questions for 100 marks in one language. Candidates should pick the language they read fastest, since the paper is timed at 1.8 minutes a question.

UP BEd JEE 2027 General Aptitude Test Section

The General Aptitude Test is Section A of Paper 2, with 50 questions for 100 marks. Reasoning and arithmetic questions share the section, and arithmetic practice lifts scores fastest for Arts graduates.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Subject Ability Section

Subject Ability is Section B of Paper 2, with 50 graduate-level questions for 100 marks. The four groups are Arts, Science, Commerce and Agriculture, and the group comes from the application form.

• Science group questions come from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the life sciences.
• Commerce group questions come from Economics, Commerce and Management subjects.
• Agriculture group questions come from Agriculture Science, Botany and Zoology.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Exam Day Schedule and Shift Timings (Expected)

UP BEd JEE 2026 was held on May 31, 2026 in two shifts on one day. UP BEd JEE 2027 is expected to follow the same day plan, in May or June 2027.

Candidates reported an 8:30 AM reporting time for Paper 1 in 2026, half an hour before the paper. The two-hour gap between the papers is spent at or near the centre.

• Answers are marked on an OMR sheet with a ballpoint pen, one bubble per question.
• Every question has four options and one correct answer.
• A blank answer costs nothing, so candidates should leave the questions they cannot narrow down.
• Candidates should carry the admit card and a photo identity proof to both shifts.

UP BEd JEE 2027 Good Score and Qualifying Marks (Expected)

A good UP BEd JEE 2027 score is 340 or more out of 400 for a General government college seat. Toppers scored between 344.67 and 362.662 in the last three cycles.

• The 2026 topper scored 359.329 marks out of 400.
• The 2025 topper scored 362.662, the highest of the last three cycles.
• The 2024 topper scored 344.67, the lowest of the three.

Qualifying marks for counselling, as listed on the Collegedunia cutoff page, are 200 for General and EWS candidates. OBC, SC and ST candidates need 180 out of 400.

A state rank below 10,000 has been needed for a government B.Ed college, according to the Collegedunia cutoff page. Around 3.04 lakh B.Ed seats are available across Uttar Pradesh.

How to Prepare as per the UP BEd JEE 2027 Exam Pattern

Preparation for UP BEd JEE 2027 follows the four equal sections and the one-third deduction. The 2026 paper is the closest model until the 2027 brochure is out.

• Candidates should divide study time equally across the four sections, since each carries 100 marks.
• General Knowledge needs daily current affairs reading, with Uttar Pradesh events included.
• The language should be fixed early, and comprehension and grammar practised in that language only.
• Reasoning and arithmetic sets of 50 questions, timed at 90 minutes, match the General Aptitude Test.
• Subject Ability preparation is a revision of graduate-level topics in the chosen group.
• Full-length OMR mock tests on previous year papers train the pace of 100 questions in three hours.
• An unsure answer should be skipped, since three incorrect answers cost one mark.

UP BEd JEE Paper 2 Subject Group: What Candidates Are Reporting on Reddit

On September 1, 2026, a post on r/Indian_Academia described a B.Ed entrance candidate holding a BA and MA in English. He attempted the Science group in the subject section, and his result shows the Science stream.

The post asked whether document verification would disqualify him, and which stream merit list would carry his name. A reply said colleges usually sort such cases out at admission.

A June 3, 2026 thread on r/indianrailways came from a UP B.Ed candidate whose special train reached Varanasi late. His admit card had arrived on May 22, and he entered the centre as the gate was closing.
