TSICET 2026 Preparation Tips
Good preparation for TSICET makes a real difference to your rank and college choices. Whether you are preparing for the next cycle or reviewing your performance this year, the tips below will help.
- Know the exam pattern: The three sections carry different weightages. Analytical and Mathematical Ability together make up 150 of the 200 marks. Give these more study time.
- Use the no-negative-marking rule: Since there is no penalty for wrong answers in TSICET, attempt every question. Never leave any blank.
- Start with your strongest section: This saves time and builds your confidence early in the exam. Move to harder sections once you are warmed up.
- Practice CBT mock tests: TSICET is a computer-based test. Practice on screen to improve speed and reduce interface-related errors.
- Learn short maths tricks: For percentages, ratios and profit-loss, quick methods save time during the exam.
- Read English daily: Reading newspapers and business articles builds your vocabulary, grammar sense and reading speed for Section C.
- Solve previous year TSICET papers: The question style stays similar year after year. Practising old papers gives you a clear idea of what to expect.
- Make a study plan and stick to it: Divide your topics across days. Spend extra time on weak areas. Review each topic at least twice before the exam.
A score of 120 or more in TSICET 2026 requires consistent practice over at least three months. Focus on accuracy first, then work on improving your speed.
