TSICET 2026 Normalization of Marks

All applicants are compared fairly across different exam sessions using a normalization process. This means:

  • If a session is easier, the scores may go slightly down.
  • If a session is harder, the scores may go slightly up.

These changes are usually very small because the exam papers are made to be of similar difficulty. The normalized scores make sure everyone is treated fairly and that the results show the candidates’ true performance. According to the Normalization procedure:

SASD: Sum of Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of the subject of a session in which the candidate appeared.

GASD: Sum of Average (A) and Standard Deviation (SD) of all the candidates across all sessions of the subject put together.

STA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the subject of a session in which the candidate appeared.

GTA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all the sessions of the subject put together.

Note: For the candidates for whom there is no qualifying cut-off in TG ICET - 2025, if the mark in TG ICET - 2025 after normalization goes below zero (negative), the mark is treated as zero. If the tie persists, then TG ICET - 2025 normalization marks (though negative) are considered for resolving the tie.
