Pay the counselling processing fee online through the portal payment gateway. Accepted modes include net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI. The fee is Rs 1,200 for General/OC/BC category students and Rs 600 for SC/ST students. Download and save your payment receipt. This fee is non-refundable regardless of allotment outcome or whether you accept a seat. Students who participate in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 must pay separately for each phase.

Step 4: Web Options (Choice Filling)

Once the verified candidate list is published and your name appears on it, log in during the web options window to fill your college and course preferences. There is no cap on the number of preferences — fill at least 15–20 choices to maximise your chances across all rounds. Rank preferences in genuine order of priority starting with your most-desired college-course combination at Preference 1. After the options window closes, a one-day editing window allows corrections; once that closes, no further changes are possible and allotment proceeds on your submitted list.

Step 5: Seat Allotment and College Reporting

The seat allotment result is published on the portal. Log in to view and download your allotment letter. If a seat is allotted, report to your allotted college in person within the reporting window, carrying all original documents. The college verifies originals, collects the seat acceptance security deposit, and completes admission formalities. Failure to report within the deadline results in automatic forfeiture of your seat — it is added to the Phase 2 pool with no reinstatement possible within the same phase.

How to Lock Choices for TS PGECET Counselling 2026

Locking your web options is the final and irreversible step in the choice-filling process. Once locked, no edits are possible even during the editing window. Follow the steps below to fill and lock your options correctly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Counselling Portal

• Go to pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.
• Click on the "TS PGECET 2026 Counselling" link for your programme — ME/MTech or M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D.

Step 2: Log In to Your Counselling Account

• Enter your TS PGECET 2026 Hall Ticket Number and the password you set during registration.
• Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to proceed.

Step 3: Open the Web Options Module

• Click "Web Options Entry" from your counselling dashboard.
• A searchable list of available colleges, universities, and courses appears, with seat availability shown by category and geographic quota.

Step 4: Build and Rank Your Preference List

• Search for colleges by name, district, or course.
• Click "Add" to include a college-course combination in your preference list.
• Use the drag-and-drop or move-up/move-down buttons to arrange preferences in your true order — Preference 1 is your most-desired seat.
• Add as many options as possible; more options significantly increase your probability of receiving an allotment.

Step 5: Save and Lock Your Choices

• Click "Save" frequently to protect against session timeouts or network interruptions.
• Once satisfied with your list, click "Lock Choices".
• A confirmation pop-up shows a summary of your full list — read it carefully before confirming.
• Click "Confirm" to lock. Your choices are final from this point and cannot be changed.

How Much Money is Needed for TS PGECET Counselling 2026?

The total cost of TS PGECET 2026 Counselling has two components: a non-refundable processing fee paid online at registration, and a refundable security deposit paid at the college when you report. Tuition fees and other college-level charges are separate and vary by institution — check the specific college’s fee structure before accepting an allotment.

Non-Refundable Fees

The counselling processing fee is paid online during Step 3 of the registration process. This fee is not refunded under any circumstances — whether or not you receive a seat, accept it, or withdraw after acceptance. A fresh processing fee is charged for each phase you participate in, so students who register for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 pay this fee twice.

Refundable Security Deposit

When you report to your allotted college, you pay a seat acceptance security deposit that confirms your intent to join. This deposit is partially refundable if you withdraw through the proper official process before the prescribed deadline. If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not fully refunded — a penalty is deducted as specified in the official TS PGECET 2026 Counselling Brochure at pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in. The exact deposit amount is programme-specific; verify it from the official brochure before reporting.

Upgrade, Freeze, or Withdraw: What Should You Do After Seat Allotment?

TS PGECET Counselling does not operate a formal float/freeze/upgrade mechanism like JoSAA. After Phase 1 allotment, your decision is binary: report to the allotted college and secure the seat, or do not report and forfeit it (freeing you to compete in Phase 2 from scratch). Choose based on your rank, the allotted college’s quality, and how much risk you are willing to take.

Note: Forfeiting a Phase 1 seat to try for a better Phase 2 allotment carries real risk — Phase 2 is limited to vacated and unfilled seats from Phase 1. There is no guarantee of a better seat in Phase 2.

The safest approach for most students is to accept the Phase 1 seat as a security net and pursue Phase 2 upgrade options only if the official notification explicitly permits joined students to compete.
