Factors Affecting TS PGECET Cut-Off

How to Calculate TS PGECET 2025 Cut Off Score?

  • All the candidates should know the process to calculate TS PGECET 2025 Cut Off score. A good technique helps the candidate to bring out the output of the calculation for the cut-off score. The paper includes 120 MCQs with four options and a total of 480 responses.
  • For example, “a” is for correct answers and “b” is for incorrect answers and there will be a + b=480.
  • There are negative marks for each incorrect answer.
  • To calculate the cut-off score, “x” is the number taken for the correct answer and “y” is the number taken only for the incorrect answer by following this the overall percentage score for each candidate can be calculated by applying the formula given below.
Formula: Percentage marks or score of the candidate = (x/a – y-b) * 100

For instance, it can be taken that the question paper has a total number of 530 correct answers among these a candidate has submitted only 500 answers of which the number of correct answers is 470. That means the total number of incorrect answers is 110. The score will be calculated by the following formula,

a = 530, b = 500, x = 470y = 110 Percentage score of the candidate = [(470/530) – (110-500)] * 100 = 50%
