The Government of Maharashtra’s State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has published the provisional selection list for the first round of stray vacancy admissions for various health science courses, including BPTH (Bachelor of Physiotherapy), BOTH (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy), BASLP (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology), and BP&O (Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics) for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates selected in this round must report to their allotted college by November 10, 2024, before 5:30 PM.

MAH CET Cell has released a list of newly permitted colleges for admission to MBBS courses. A total of 8 newly colleges have been added for Maharashtra MBBS admissions. Each of the newly permitted colleges has an intake of 100 seats.

Maharashtra CET Cell has released the Maharashtra NEET UG 2024 Counselling CAP Round 2 selection list on the official website. Students who have been allotted seats must join the allotted colleges by 06 October 2024, 5:30 PM.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling Round 2 choice filling for AYUSH courses including BAMS, BHMS and BUMS ended on 2 October 2024, 11:59 PM. The choice filling was started on 30 September 2024 on the official website. Students must visit the official website to appy for the counselling before the deadline.

Maha CET Cell released the Maharashtra NEET UG Round 2 vacant seats in various medical colleges across the state. Students can visit the official website at mahacet.org to check the seat matrix.

Maha CET Cell has published the MH NEET 2024 Counselling Round 2 Seat allotment Result on September 27, 2024. At the same time, the choice filling window is activated at https://medical2024.mahacet.org/NEET-UG-2024/login. It will remain open till September 29 October 2024.

Maharashtra NEET 2024 Counselling Choice Filling (Activated)

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) released the dates for the Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024. Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 has been started from August 17, 2024. Students can register for the counselling till August 23, 8 PM. 

  • Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 is the process for admission into MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, B(P&O), and BSc (Nursing) courses offered by the Institutes present in the State of Maharashtra.
  • Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 is conducted by the State CET CELL, Mumbai and provides admission into the 85% state quota seats in the Government/ Government Aided/ Corporation/ Private Unaided & Minority Health Science Institution. The 15% Institutional seats are also filled by the Maharashtra NEET Counselling.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Counselling and Admission

Candidates who are interested in applying for the Maharashtra NEET Counselling should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Education

  • The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum aggregate of 50% (40% for reserved category and 45% for PWD) from an institute located in the state of Maharashtra.
  • The candidates applying for BSc Nursing can have a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for ST/SC candidates)

Age

The candidates should be above 17 years old before December 31, 2024. The upper age limit is 25 years for the general and 30 for the reserved category.

Domicile

  • The candidates should have a domicile in Maharashtra or should be living in Maharashtra for more than 10 years.
  • Candidates from other states can apply through a 15% institutional quota.

Nationality

  • The candidate should be an Indian resident.
  • The NRI, and OCI candidates can apply through the 15% institutional quota.

Registration Process

NEET 2024 Counselling Registration Process

The candidates who have passed NEET examination will have to register themselves for counseling and may have to go through the followings steps:

  • Candidates will have to visit https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ and create their registration ID and password.
  • They can then login and start filling up the registration form with all the required details.
  • Once they are done filling up the registration form, they can pay the registration fees through the online payment gateway.
  • Then they will have to upload the colorful scanned copies of all the original documents required in PDF Format in a size less than 300KB.
  • Finally, in the end, they can take the printout of the registration form.

Counselling Process

Maharashtra NEET 2024 Counselling Process

The Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 will start after AIQ NEET Counselling has been done. The counseling process will include the following steps:

CAP Round 1

  • Registration: NEET qualifying candidates will have to register at cetcell.mahacet.org and pay the non-refundable registration fees.
  • Document verification: The candidates who have cleared NEET examination will have to appear for online/ physical document verification after they have registered for counseling.
  • Filling and Locking Choices: The candidates will have to fill out the preference form, where they will have to specify their choice of course and college they wish to apply. There is no provision to change the preferences once submitted. The preferences will be used for the first round and subsequent rounds including Mop Up round.
  • Seat Allotment: The result of the seat allotment will be published based on NEET UG 2024 merit in the State of Maharashtra and the preference provided by the candidates for each group separately.
  • Reporting: The candidates will have to physically report to the college for final admission if their names have appeared on the list,

CAP Round 2

The Round 2 counseling will have similar steps to Round 1. The following candidates can appear for round 2 counseling:

  • The candidates who have qualified for NEET but did not register for Round 1 can apply.
  • Those who have applied for Round 1 but did not receive a seat.

Round 3/ Mop-Up Round

If the seats remain vacant in Government/ Corporation/ Private aided/ Private Unaided/ Minority Colleges, after conducting two or more CAP round, then these seats will be filled up with the Mop-up rounds. Eligibility for Mop-Up Round

  • The candidates who have been admitted in the 1st and 2nd rounds and secured admission but have not filled out status retention forms in their respective groups.
  • The candidates who are wait-listed and to who the choice was not available during 1st and 2nd rounds in their respective groups.

Candidates who are not eligible for Mop-up Round

  • The candidates to whom a seat has been allotted in computerized CAp rounds did not join the respective group.
  • The candidates who have filled out the status retention form.
  • The candidates who have joined and resigned after allotment of seats in the previous rounds.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 Seat Intake 15% of NEET seats are offered through the All India Quota and 85% of the seats are offered through the state quota. So all the Government / Government Aided/ Corporation/ Private Unaided & Minority Institutions for Health Science Courses in the State of Maharashtra will offer 85% of its seats through Maharashtra NEET Counselling. Also, 15% of the seats in the private unaided MBBS and BDS colleges will be through Institutional Quota.
