JKCET Answer Key 2024

The JKBOPEE has released the provisional answer key for the JKCET 2024 exam on their official website. The exam consisted of 180 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each) across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There was a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers, and the entire 3-hour exam was conducted offline.

Calculating Your Score:

Use the answer key to estimate your score. Remember, correct answers get 1 mark, while incorrect answers are penalized 0.25 marks. Here's the formula:

• JKCET Score = [Number of Correct Answers] - (0.25 x [Number of Incorrect Answers])

Challenging the Answer Key:

Candidates can dispute the answer key by submitting a written representation with a fee of Rs. 1000 per challenged paper at the JKBOPEE offices in Srinagar or Jammu. The deadline for submitting objections is within three working days after the exam.

JKCET 2024 Merit List

Merit List will be prepared based on the candidate’s scorecard. Candidates who manage to clear JKCET 2024 will be eligible for the merit list. Candidates with higher marks will attain a higher rank. Given below are some points regarding the Merit List.

• The candidate should keep a printout of JKCET 2024 Result for the Admission procedure. 
• Various Merit Lists will be released till the seats are filled. 

JKCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

• Marks obtained in Mathematics component of the Entrance test
• Marks obtained in Physics component of the Entrance test, if marks obtained in Mathematics component are equal
• Marks obtained in Chemistry component of the Entrance test, if marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics components are equal
• Candidate older in age, if marks obtained in Math, Physics and Chemistry are same.
• For further tie, first Alphabet of candidate’s name be considered.
• Same analogy shall be applicable to break up tie of marks, in case Entrance Examination shall not by conducted by Board.

Important Points to Remember

• If the seats for the reserved category candidates are are more than the number of total reserved category candidates then the vacant seats will be filled by open category candidates in the order of merit. 
• JKCET 2024 Answer keys will be released before the declaration of results and candidates will also get the opportunity to raise objections against the answer key. 
• Based on answer keys candidates can also calculate their rough scores. 
• After the declaration of the result candidates cannot challenge the result, however, they can apply for re-totalling by paying INR 1000. 

JKCET 2024 Counselling

Candidates who manage to secure their names on the merit list will be eligible for the counselling process. The counselling dates are yet to be announced. On the first day, the counselling will be conducted for up to 350^th rank. In the counselling process, candidates have to choose the discipline they want to study. Discipline will be given based on rank secured by the candidates and the availability of seats.

Documents Required For JKCET 2024 Counselling

Given below is the list of documents candidates have to carry on the day of counselling. All the documents must be original if the documents are not found to be apt admission can be cancelled.

• Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
• Marks certificate of the qualifying examination issued by the concerned Board
• Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate as a proof of Date of Birth
• Certificate of permanent residence
