What is the last date for IISER application?

How to Fill IISER Application Form 2025

To start the application process, log on to the official IISER admissions portal. You'll be required to fill in your name, date of birth, a valid email ID, and mobile number. Upon submission, an OTP will be sent to your phone as well as your email address to be verified. After verification, you'll receive your login details.

For all those who are applying under the SCB stream, taking the IISER Aptitude Test is compulsory. It is a computer-based exam that is conducted over four fundamental subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. There are 15 questions in each subject.

1. Can I select my preferred IISER campus while submitting the application form?

Yes. While applying, candidates must rank their choices of IISER campuses. Although final allotment is based on IAT scores and seat availability, giving your preferences ensures that you are considered for the institutes you're most interested in.

2. I am a Class 12 student. Am I eligible to apply for IISER IAT 2025?

Yes, students appearing for Class 12 board exams in 2025 are fully eligible to apply. But they will be required to submit proof of passing (Class 12 marksheet) during admission if they get selected.

3. Is there any limit on the number of times I can appear for the IAT exam?

Yes. Contestants are allowed to appear for the IISER Aptitude Test a maximum of three times consecutively in a year. If you have already appeared for the test more than thrice, you won't be considered anymore.

4. Should I send any hard copies of documents by post after completing the form?

No, the entire IISER 2025 application process is online. You don't have to post any hard copies. But you must keep the originals as they will be needed at the time of counselling and admission.

5. What if my name or details are printed wrong on the admit card?

In case you notice any error in your admit card after it has been released, you can notify the IISER admission helpdesk with the official contact details as soon as possible. Errors usually can be corrected before the exam date if raised within time.

6. What if my payment fails while applying?

If the payment done by you on the web fails or is pending, your application shall be considered incomplete. You may log in again, verify your status of payment, and if necessary, do the payment once again to successfully complete the submission.

7. Can I try IAT if I did not study four of these subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology?

Yes. You must have studied a minimum of three of the four subjects in Class 12 to be qualified. But the IAT exam tests you on all four, so you are urged to prepare in advance even if one of the subjects was not included in your course.
