CSAB Counselling 2024 Registration is expected to start in late June 2024. Students can sign up for CSAB NEUT 2024 counselling on the CSAB website, csab.nic.in. The first and second round CSAB 2024 seat allotment lists for eligible students are planned for the third and last weeks of July 2024, respectively.

CSAB NEUT Counselling is conducted to provide admission to students in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy programs. Candidates participating in CSAB NEUT 2024 Counselling need a valid score in JEE Main 2024.

What is CSAB NEUT Counselling?

CSAB NEUT Counselling or Central Seat Allocation Board for the North Eastern States and Union Territories is an admission counselling process conducted for candidates belonging to 8 North East States and 4 Union Territories. These states and union territories include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

CSAB NEUT Counselling is conducted under the scheme of “Reservation of seats in Degree Level Technical Courses for States / UTs in the AICTE-approved institutions lacking facilities for education in specific fields of Technical Education and for certain categories”.

Eligibility Criteria

CSAB NEUT Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates should fulfill their eligibility criteria before applying the CSAB NEUT counselling. Those candidates won’t be eligible they’ll not get admission to their willing degree programs. The eligibility criteria details are:

  • Domicile certificate: Applicants those who hold a legitimate domicile certificate of north-eastern states and union territories – Arunachala Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Daman and Diu, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Dadar, and Nagar Haveli, and Lakshadweep are solely eligible to seem for the admission procedure.
  • Scorecard: Candidates should hold a legitimate record of All India Rank in JEE Main 2024 so as to urge admission within the universities.
  • Educational qualifications: HSC should be completed by the person from a recognized university or board.
  • Qualifying marks: One should score over 45% marks within the qualifying examinations if they belong to the general category. Applicants those who belong to reserved category should score not less than four-hundredth marks within the qualifying exams.
  • Appearing applicants: Applicants who are showing for the final examination of the HSC also are eligible to urge admission within the universities however they have to submit some needed documents at the time of admission.
  • Compulsory subjects: The candidate who desire to urge admission within the university should have physics, arithmetic together with anyone of chemistry, biology, biotechnology, technical vocational subject as compulsory subjects within the HSC examination.
  • Number of attempts: Candidates will seem for the admission round maximum 3 times.

For Engineering and Architecture courses candidates must pass class 12th examination with the following:

  • For B. E. /B.Tech. programmes - (i) Physics (ii) Mathematics (iii) Any one of Chemistry, biology, biotechnology, technical vocation subject (iv) A language subject (v) Any subject other than the above four
  • For B.Arch. Programmes: (i) Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (ii) Other two subjects
  • Age limit- As prescribed in Information Bulletin and Application Form of JEE Main 2024.

Registration and Choice Filling

The stepwise guideline for CSAB NEUT counselling registration is discussed below. Choice filling commences with the online registration and creation of applicants’ profiles. The CSAB NEUT counselling seat allotment process will comprise of the stages mentioned below:

  • Registration
  • Visit the official website - csab.nic.in.
  • Click on the link to register. Candidates must use their JEE Main 2024 application number and password for registration.
  • Filling and Locking of Choices
  • After successful registration, provide your choices for programs and colleges. The choices are to be provided to the applicants in order of preference. Re-check all the choices very carefully and lock these before the deadline. No changes in the choices can be made after these are locked. You can also take a print out of the choices for future references.
  • Seat Allotment
  • Seat allotment results will be declared after the choices are locked and submitted. Applicants can check the seat allotment result at the official website. Seats will be allotted on the basis of merit, choices, and availability of seats.
  • The letters of allotment will also be available for download.
  • Document Verification
  • In the final stage, applicants are required to report at the allotted colleges or universities along with the original documents. Applicants are required to submit the required fee for confirming the allotted seat.

Aspirants need to upload all the required documents for verification at the reporting centres and also the original documents and their photocopies have to be submitted.

  • A hard copy of provisional allotment letter
  • A Hard copy of choices locked

Counselling Seat Allotment

CSAB NEUT Counselling 2024 Seat Allotment

The procedure of CSAB NEUT Counselling 2024 allotment would involve two rounds of seat allotment:

First Round of Seat Allotment:

After the declaration of 1st round of seat allotment, all the applicants who have been allotted a seat will require to report online at CSAB 2024 Portal and they need to do the following activities; failing which their seat allotment shall stand cancelled. Also, they will not be considered for the second round of seat allotment.

  • Online payment of seat allotment/ acceptance fee of an amount of INR 3,000 in favour of CSAB 2024 using Net Banking/ Debit card/ Credit card or State Bank of India e-challan

Second round of seat allotment:

Second round seat will be processed as per business rules and the result will be displayed on the website and a message will be sent to the candidates via SMS.

  • Only fresh allottee of second round will be required to pay the seat allotment/ acceptance fee [online] of INR 3,000 in favour of CSAB 2024 using Net Banking/ Debit card / State Bank of India e-challan or Credit card.

CSAB NEUT Counselling 2024 Payment and Refund of Fees

  • The candidates should submit a security deposit of INR 3,000 in the form of a demand draft.
  • Issue must be in the favour of CSAB NEUT.
  • This amount is refundable to the candidates.
  • The applicant gets a refund if he/she does not take admission to the allotted college/institute.

Note: If the applicants have registered and filled their choices in the first round, it will be applicable to the second round. Applicants do not need to register for it separately.
