CBSE Class 10 Social Science Syllabus PDF has been released for the academic year 2025-26. You can download the NCERT full syllabus from the official website, cbseacademic.nic. The Social Science syllabus has four sections: 1. History, 2. Political Science 3. Geography and 4. Economics

The mark weightage is divided evenly among the CBSE class 10 Social Science subjects. The total marks of the CBSE class 10 Social Science paper are 80 marks, and each section carries 20 marks. Internal assessment carries 20 marks, which has a different syllabus.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Deleted Syllabus

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) deleted some of the topics from the CBSE class 10 syllabus for Social Science in the past years. Chapters in History (India and Contemporary World II) and Economics (Understanding Economic Development) syllabi remained unchanged. However, some topics from Geography and Political Science have been deleted, as mentioned in the table below.
