Bihar UGEAC Eligibility Criteria
The BCECEB has defined certain eligibility criteria for appearing in UGEAC 2026.
The Student applying for UGEAC 2026 must have appeared in the NTA JEE Main 2026 exam and must also have a valid Score Card of the same.
Educational Qualifications
- The students must have passed the 10+2 Examination with a minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
- Students of the Agriculture Stream are only eligible for Agricultural Engineering.
OR
- Passed the minimum 3-year Diploma Exam with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category).
Age Limit
There is no age limit for admission to Engineering Programs.
There will be a medical examination of selected candidates before the release of the allotment order. The allotment order will be passed only after clearing the medical test.

Domicile
To get admission into Engineering Programmes through UGEAC 2026, a student must be a Citizen of India.
Along with the above condition, one of the below mentioned conditions must be met for the eligibility of a student for admission through UGEAC-2026.
- Parents must be permanent residents of Bihar.
- Parents are registered refugees in Bihar.
- Parents are employed under the Government of Bihar.
- Parents are employed under the Government of India, posted in Bihar.
- Parents are employed under the UN, posted in Bihar.
Bihar UGEAC 2026 Registration
To participate in the UGEAC 2026, students will have to follow the application process detailed by the BCECEB. It is a multi-step process, which is to be completed by the students to be eligible for counselling for admission to engineering courses in Bihar.
The first step of the process is to visit the official website- bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and click ‘Apply for UGEAC-2026’.
Bihar UGEAC Required Documents
The documents mentioned below (whichever are applicable) are required in original at the time of counselling for document verification by every candidate:
- Admit Card of JEE Main- 2026
- Score Card of JEE Main- 2026
- Passing Certificate/Mark sheet/Admit Card of Matriculation or equivalent
- Passing Certificate/Mark sheet/Admit Card of 10+2 or equivalent

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Counselling Fee Payment
Follow the instructions displayed on your screen to complete the payment.
The Counselling fee is non-refundable.
- The mode of fee payment is online only and can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI.
- There will be a processing fee over and above the Counselling fee.

Ques. What if the counselling fee is debited from my account and the transaction fails?
Ans. You should pay the counselling fee again until it is successful. The amount debited for the unsuccessful transactions will be refunded in their bank account.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Merit List
After the filling of the application forms by students, BCECEB will the merit list of applicants based on the scores of JEE Main 2026. The merit list will be in the form of rank card, where students will have the information about their rank in the State in JEE Main 2026.
The UGEAC 2026 Rank Card will be released on the official BCECEB website.
Along with the Rank Card, the Seat matrix will also be released for information of students.
Bihar UGEAC Choice Filling and Locking
After the release of the Rank Card and Seat details, students can fill in their choices of institutions and branches according to their preferences.
- If you satisfied with your final choice selection then you can lock it.
- If you wish to make in changes in the choice selection, you have to unlock your choices, make changes and lock again.
- The locking and unlocking of the choices will be done through OTP sent at your mobile and email.
- The final seat allotment will be done on the basis of your final locked choice.
- The choice filling and locking will be started approximately in the 3rd or 4th week of June.
- Students are advised to to exercise their Choice Filling and Locking process carefully as no change can be made after the prescribed time limit.
Bihar UGEAC Seat Allotment
The Seat Allotment for admission in engineering programmes will be based on the Merit-cum-choice of the students.
- The provisional seat allotment for first round of counselling is expected to be released in late June.
- If any student have any objection regarding the provisional seat allotment they may raise objection to the BCECEB.
- The final seat allotment for round 1 of the counselling will be released by the board after resolution of all the objections.
The same process will be followed for the second round of counselling, i.e., release of provisional seat allotment, time for objection and release of final seat allotment.
Note: In case a student is not satisfied with the seat allotted, he shall download the provisional allotment order and indicate his wish for consideration in next round of allotment for upgradation.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Reporting Centres
When you download the Provisional Allotment Order, you will find the information regarding the date of document verification and venue of the reporting centre for admission, and the name of the Nodal Centre.
You have to visit the designated reporting centre on the date and time for document verification.
If you do not complete the document verification on the designated date, then you will not be considered for next round of counselling and the seat allotted to you will be deemed vacant.

Ques. What is the reservation criteria for EBC candidates?
Ans. Last year the reservation for EBC candidates was 18%, so it will probably remain the same this year too. The official information brochure is not yet available; once it is released, it will contain the details about the reservation policy.
