Bihar UGEAC 2026 Eligibility Criteria

You must meet all Bihar UGEAC 2026 eligibility conditions to participate in counselling and secure admission. These conditions cover your academic qualification, entrance exam performance, and domicile requirement for state quota seats.

Academic Eligibility

• You must have passed Class 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent from a recognised board.
• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) must be compulsory subjects in Class 12.
• Minimum aggregate marks in PCM subjects: 45% for General / EWS candidates and 40% for SC / ST / BC / EBC candidates.
• Candidates appearing in Class 12 board exams in 2026 are provisionally eligible, subject to submitting results before document verification.
• Diploma holders with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution are also eligible.

JEE Main 2026 Requirement

• You must have a valid JEE Main 2026 rank from Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech).
• BCECEB does not prescribe any minimum JEE Main percentile or score for UGEAC registration. Any candidate with a valid JEE Main 2026 rank can register.
• The Bihar UGEAC 2026 merit list is prepared solely on the basis of JEE Main 2026 percentile scores. Your JEE Main performance directly determines your rank in Bihar UGEAC.

Domicile Requirement

• For the 85% state quota seats, Bihar domicile is mandatory. You must have a valid Bihar domicile or residence certificate issued by a competent authority in Bihar.
• Caste certificates for SC/ST/BC/EBC/EWS reservation must also be issued by a competent authority in Bihar. Certificates from authorities outside Bihar are not accepted for state quota.
• The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are open to candidates from any state with no domicile restriction. However, reservation categories do not apply within the AIQ.

Age Limit
