  • JKBOPEE has released the tentative schedule for 2025 - 26 admission. Registration can be done in April 2025 with the entrance test being conducted in May 2025.
  • AIIMS, Delhi has released the tentative schedule for BSc Nursing entrance exam. It can be condcuted on June 21, 2025 with the result releasing in June 27, 2025.

BSc Nursing Post Basic Admission 2025 is generally based on entrance exams. Exams are conducted at the national and state level to provide admission. Several public and state universities like AIIMS, CMC Vellore and PGIMER also conduct their own entrance exams for admission. Some colleges also provide admission based on merit.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Post Basic admission is based on the AIIMS BSc Nursing entrance exam. The 2025 exam will be conducted in June. The PGIMER BSc Nursing entrance exam is expected to be conducted in July 2025. JEPBN is conducted in West Bengal to provide admission to BSc Nursing Post Basic seats.

BSc Nursing Post Basic is a 2-year nursing program designed to provide additional skills to registered nurses. Candidates must have completed their General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma course and must be registered as RNRM to be eligible for admissions. Check: How to Become a Nurse?

Post Basic BSc Nursing Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their eligibility before applying for the Post Basic BSc Nursing course. The eligibility criteria as set by the INC are as follows.

  • Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • They should have completed their GNM and must be registered as RNRM with the state nurse registration council.
  • Male nurses trained before the implementation of the new integrated course should provide INC-approved training evidence of similar duration instead of midwifery in any one of the clinical areas mentioned by the INC.
  • Candidates should be medically fit.
  • Candidates who have completed class 12 in or before 1986 are also eligible for admission.

Post Basic BSc Nursing: Admission Process 2025

Post Basic BSc Nursing admission is based on entrance exam scores or merit. The general admission steps are mentioned below.

  • Candidates have to register on the college website or the entrance exam page accepted by the college.
  • They should clear the exam and try to score the highest for better chances of admission.
  • Based on the exam scores, admission is provided through a counselling process.
  • Candidates should report at their allotted college for completing the admission formalities.
  • For admission based on merit, GNM and class 12 scores are generally considered for the admission process.

Ans. As a student of UCMS, I will try to enlighten you about my college. Location- It is true that UCMS is located in the periphery of Delhi, and its surrounding is not as developed as that of VMMC. Regardless, the location of UCMS offers most of the facilities required for a good college life. You can access Cinepolis, PVR and Big Cinemas from here, reach CP in 20-30 minutes by metro/private vehicle, and catch a metro from Jhilmil metro station to explore Delhi/NCR.  Campus- UCMS has a beautiful campus, the best among Delhi medical colleges. It has a huge central field where you can play cricket, basketball, football, etc. Boys get single seater hostel rooms from the first year itself. The campus has two 24*7 canteens, a book shop from where you can access all your medical books, an ATM, and a post office.The hospital has undergone renovation, and looks new and well managed. Academics- UCMS offers excellent academics. The faculty is skilled and teaches with sincerity. The Histology Lab in the Anatomy department is really good.  Extracurriculars- UCMS has a sports society, a western dance team, a theme choreography team, a dramatics team, a musical society, a literary society and a medical education unit. You can join any of these. According to me, both UCMS and VMMS are good medical colleges. You can choose the latter if location is a concern to you, otherwise, UCMS is a good choice too.Read more
