They are well experienced in their subject.they are friendly and approachableand faculties are strict regarding attendance ans tests also,theyare very good with teaching.pracrical classes are also great.
Our college have good sports and cultural programmes which also very useful for students to improve their extra curricular activities
In madurai medical college they provide great hostel facility for first years..others hostel also really good but not good compared to first years hostel..in first years hostel there is tv hall in a floor..and indoor sports room.

Dislikes

Is is mandatory for both boys and girls studying b.sc nursing to stay in hostel. however some students can get permission to come from their home after requisition. there is no playground for girls. no co-curriculum activities eg sports etc
No canteen is available in the college and your time will be hectic
B.sc nursing students it's mandatory to opt for mess, and the food quality is really bad.

Glory of madurai medical College.

Likes

Teaching methods and faculty expertise is excellent.
College campus and infrastructure is well maintained.
The placement services of college is well effective to support your career.

Dislikes

hostel campus is not cleaned and old buildings are not vaintileted
Food in mess is of cheap quality and not of good quality

Placement Experience:

From final year or 5th year your are eligible for stipend amount during internship program. You get seat in attached hospital after completing your degree course. This college also provides PG courses option for you after UG courses.

Very interactive faculty, peaceful study atmosphere,comprehensive curriculum

Dislikes

Mess food could be improved along with dining facilities

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible upon completion of internship. I'm not aware of the exact companies that have visited the college. The average package is 5LPA. Upon completion of mbbs students are eligible to work in private sector Or in primary health centers(government sector). I plan on doing post graduation

Overall review of madurai medical college

All the lecture halls are fully air conditioned..it is so helpful for the students in this climate

Course Curriculum Overview:

As MBBS is a vast syllabus for studying it is hard as compared to other courses to complete the syllabus. Therefore only one problem remains in college, there is an internal assessment for every subject each month..it is so hard to cover and cop up with all these topics.

Every hospitals are placed nearby to college.
There are plenty of outpatients.College supports many extracurricular events.

Dislikes

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is more prestigious which influenced me to opt it and this is also challenging in terms of building good communication skills and knowledge.This is trained with the help of SPM classes and theory classes.The test ate held every month and the difficulty level is moderate.

Likes

College is very much Academically Oriented. Enough opportunities for Overall Scholastic and Co-Scholastic Development. Sports Meets, college fests and various Clubs are organised in our college to nuture our talent.
Professors and staff are very supportive and helpful. Overall a good Ambience to pursue Medicine

Dislikes

Mess food Is mediocre. That could be improved

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements upon completion of their internship The average package is around 4-5 LPA upon completion of MBBS. Mbbs graduates are eligible to work in govt sectors( primary health centers, dispensaries) and private sector hospitals depending on the vacancies. I'm not aware of the percentage of students placed. I plan on doing post graduation upon completion of MBBS.

Likes

I liked the college campus the academic block is really good
I liked the faculties they are really supportive for our studies
Our college have good sports and cultural programmes which also very useful for students to improve their extra curricular activities

Dislikes

I think they can improve the quality of hostel food
The hostel rest rooms cleanliness should improve
In summer sometimes there is water issues in hostel

I liked this profession and I always wanted to help or cure the pains of people The course curriculum is really hectic I think they can reduce the unnecessary assignment work especially assignment works given as homework it is consuming the time to study

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty are approachable and friendly. All faculty are government doctors working in the hospital with qualifications of MD and DM. The teaching is very good in the postings, and in classes, they will be teaching through PPT. We will have exams once per year, they are University exams.. and easy to pass if you study well.

Remarks:

College provides a safe and healthy environment between city so becomes accesible and study supportive. But as time passes the administration quality is falling down the bathrooms are not as much as they should be.

Medico's heaven

Remarks:

Madurai medical college is the One of the best colleges in the south India. Good academics and practicals. Many good doctors were from this college. excellent college in south Tamil Nadu since1954.

Life Of a Madurai Medico

Remarks:

The college is very old and has been established in the 1950's. The atmosphere is very good for promoting studies. Since it is located near to the town all the essentials can be easily bought without much wandering. The Hospital is also situated very near to the college which makes it easy to go there too.
