Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

As i mentioned only 60% of students pass in the exam. This is because the exam delay. We have to write the exam of 1st semester while we are on 3rd sem. That's why most of the students find it difficult.

The placement cell in my college is like a kid. It is just growing up. My seniors have been settled into multinational companies through placement cell in my college. Wipro, Infosys etc are the companies. Students should have an impressive CV, the college will guide us to make an impressive CV. 50% students get placements .

No companies have approached us yet. I wanted to do LLM right after the LLB. Afyer completing it i wanna join a Legal team in Corporate company for assured high salary package. It will help me to settle in a better environment.

My father is an advocate so that i take llb but the thing is my father is hardworking I'm not so llb is difficult for me if we want internship we need to search here is a placement cell without placement the entire teaching method need to be changed timing of exams are not good at all

The vision of the course is to serve the law for the country. My college isthe first among the four Government law colleges to publish an ISBN publication under the initiative of IQAC namely Legal WRIT. The areas for improvements in the course is to improve extra curriculum activities in the field of arts and sports.

Timing of exams are so tiring. The semester end won't meet the respective sem exams. For example - studying 3rd semester and writing 1st semester exam. It is very normal as of now cause of the delay occurred in our entrance exams and admission process.

The course curriculum in the government law college Thiruvananthapuram is ba LLB it includes ba English plus law it's an wanted course for who are pursuing civil services etc because this contains the economic English law all for the foundation for the civil services And the LLB portion cover all the law feild example private law public law etc

Good aspects : well trained teachers a very informative and huge library helping office staffs. Bad Aspects : no ground for sports student political party system ( often fights occur between two different party members) No moot club no participation in moots and trail advocacy no encouragement for extra curricular activities. college doesn't provide for funds for arts festivals I chose this college because of its reputation, Well trained teachers and the certificate we get from this college is so worthy to apply for jobs etc

I choose this course because I always wanted to become a leading advocate. and also why I choose ba llb was that writing skills have many things to do with llb.you have develop your writing proficiency to make your mark in this course and ba will definitely provide you that chance. the faculty is the best thing when it comes to glct.they are more of a student-friendly type.and they also provide you the best learning experience. there are about 120 students which is then divided into 2 batches each with 60 students.most of the faculties include alumni and many of them are senior advocates. the college follows semester system where you have to give the exam twice a year the exams are based on your syllabus and are facile.so don't worry about your exams.

The college has a good campus and has excellent teaching faculty. Its highly cost effective (approx. Rs 1700 per year) and the campus is extremely good. It does lack modern luxury aminities like air conditioning, smartclasses, etc. but it has an air of its own. The college is in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram but its located in such a place as there is a blissful environment. The college has all the extra curricular activities you can expect and its an excellent foundation to build your career.
