What Students Say

Likes

Teachers, study environment was good. But placements should more focussed.
Great. Programs cobducted for student welfare, social services are great.
Sports training should be taken seriously. Need a teacher to be appointed on that behalf.

Dislikes

No Sports teacher and no proper training for university championships.
Takes time to get permission for new improvements. Since it is a Government institution its normsl to wait for permission from department of higher educations.
Should be more transparent about everything. Especially about fees structures payment matters.

Course Curriculum Overview

There is no proper and facilitated auditorium that can accomodate the whole college in the campus. It is a neccesary space. There is no teacher in the subject of Physical education and sports training.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided at government institutions like District Legal Service Authority, Human Rights Commission, Keral Women Commission, Labour Commission, Corporate companies at Technopark, and different Advocate offuces at Vanchiyoor.

Placement Experience

No companies have approached us yet. I wanted to do LLM right after the LLB. Afyer completing it i wanna join a Legal team in Corporate company for assured high salary package. It will help me to settle in a better environment.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our tution and other fees are payed by a central government scholarship E-grantz. For General category such allowance are not allowed. Very good teachers supportive and knowledgeable. Hostel facility for girls . exams are exceptionally scrutinized and valuation are tough. But it helps to prepare students for better.

Campus Life

Samskara, College programs,cultural programs, competitions, for Literature, Academics and sports maily team sports are conducted by the college. Mainly the two student parties SFI and KSU are strong and helpful in our college.

Hostel Facilities

A room of two students. A cement shelf, a single coat bed and table chair set for both students. A fan a two lights. Single plug point. Window and ventilator, with floor spread with white tiles. Twenty four hours water supply, purified water for drinking, common bathrooms and toilets, study rooms and common spaces for studying refreshment. A tv room.

Hostel Fee: INR 3000 per year

Admission

I havr completed my Bachelors and it was a mandatory qualification to pass degree with 50% marks to apply for KLEE Kerala Law Entrance Exam. I passed with a ranking between 200. To get into this college it was the qualifier.

Faculty

We are Unitary LLB students. In the furst year of class we didn't had abt semester exams and will have to face 4 sem exams simultaneously in our third academic year. Along With practical papers, moot and ADR. University needs to make a better plan a schedule well.

Night Life

Manaveeyam, Museum, Kanaka kunnu palace, kuthira maalika, EastFort, westfort, LULU mall, travancore mall, Chandrashekhar Nair Stadium, Central Stadium, University Stadium, University Library, Kerala Niyamasabha , secratriate, Sree padmanabha Swami temple.

Placement Experience:

The university has a very active placement cell that is active eyar round and helps studnets of all departments secure placements. The legal school in particular get a few placement opputunities especially from corporates and banks looking for legal counsel.

The course is BBA LLB with honours and it is a integrated courses only for 5 years . The course curriculum have internships for real life experience. We should complete 10 internships. The digital teaching method is good. The exams externals were late a bit earlier but now it is systematic.

Pros and cons of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is definitely a long one. But I felt it is good so that we can learn two degrees within this 5 years and so that we don't waste much time . Teaching time starts from 9:30 till 3:30 . This can be changed and can stop at 1 in the afternoon. Even though our sem exams are lagging our internals happen every now and then which is actually helpful.

It is the only government law college in kerala that provides BA LLB course. Other government colleges only provides BBA LLB AND BCOM LLB. I was interested in BA LLB. Government law College Thiruvananthapuram. The place you will learn law and life.

I got admissions in Kerala law academy Thiruvananthapuram and SDM law College manglore. I personally like a government law college more than the above mentioned colleges because of the Liberty and the campus life they provide unlike SDM law College which is strict government law college will be a Heaven for anyone who want to explore campus life. While in Kerala academy the fee is high as well as the management is known to be worst.
