Internship Opportunities

College has a large law library ,which is the largest law library of Kerala
College has a strong alumni association including famous persons like Justice Fathima beevi ,N R Madhava Menon
Legacy of the Law college ,It was established in the Year 1875

Dislikes

Placement cell of the college is not properly functioning
Lack of classes and discipline ,Students bunk the classes every time
Hostel facilities have so many limitations

Admission:

Trivandrum is actually a civil service hub . There are so many institutions near the college ,so after the classes in the college we can go for civil service coaching .many of the students are the faculties of the civil service institutions nearby .Law college Trivandrum is my first option in the allotment list and I also got admission there in the first allotment itself . The students are admitted on the basis of the rank in the entrance exam named KLEE conducted by the state government .

Government law college Thiruvananthapuram- The best law college in kerala

Likes

There is a placement cell which is working for high quality placements for students.
The teachers are very much qualified. The library is very elaborated and upda And it has reading room facilities.

Dislikes

Political parties and their influence in students.
The campus is a little bit small for around 1000 students
Hostel having a bit low quality food in some days. But compared to price it is ok ok

Admission:

It is the only government law college in kerala that provides BA LLB course. Other government colleges only provides BBA LLB AND BCOM LLB. I was interested in BA LLB. This collge is situated in thiruvananthapuram which is the edu hub of kerala. It is one of the top rated government colleges in India. It is near to legislative assembly of kerala and it is in the centre of the city which is also very helpful. The college's infrastructure structure is also a reason for choosing this college .

Likes

Campus is filled with lush greenery and heritage architecture
Free from academics pressure. Most of the teaching faculties are friendly and liberal
Students can enjoy freedom and liberty that no other college can provide

Dislikes

Lack of placements. Though there is a placement cell in our which was established on the year 2023. It is not that much effective
Internship opportunities. The college doesn't help to provide internship opportunities in top tier law firms.
Lack of certain recreational facilities such as playground, auditorium,arts room etc

Admission:

I got admissions in Kerala law academy Thiruvananthapuram and SDM law College manglore. I personally like a government law college more than the above mentioned colleges because of the Liberty and the campus life they provide unlike SDM law College which is strict government law college will be a Heaven for anyone who want to explore campus life. While in Kerala academy the fee is high as well as the management is known to be worst. The admission process for Government law College Thiruvananthapuram is through Kerala law entrance examination conducted each year by the state government. Candidates will be admitted through allotment process by CEE kerala. KLEE 5 year can be written by all those candidates who have passed in 12th standard with not less than 50% mark.

The college is situated in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram
We can easily access the town and major places
We get exposure from this college and contact with well established aluminious

Dislikes

The infrastructure of this college is very poor
Some facilities keep personal grudge towards us
We will become tensed about the frequent exam's

Admission:

This is the best law college in kerala you can access the best law books library in kerala by joining this campus firstly i think to take admission in government Law college eranakulam that is situated in my native place but later i realized that this college gonna make my dreams come true i can focus on my studies i didn't get rejection from any colleges

The fee structure is very affordable here
The faculty here is well educated and experienced

Dislikes

There is no infrastructural development here
There is no placement here though having a placement cell

Admission:

I chose this college because it is government institution and it provided free education for the meritorious students while comparing to all other law schools in India which charge very high fees. Th admission here is through the kerala law entrance examination

The campus is so ecofriendly as it is always green and lush. The campus has lots of trees
The area is good with being so calm when it is so near to city.
The students are hardworking and work for themselves and for others.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not good as they are old
The campus is small and doesn't have many basic things
The college lacks a ground and auditorium

Admission:

I chose this college for two main reasons. Firstly it was the only government law college that offered ba llb course. I wanted this specific course so ichose this college. Next i wanted to be in this place, Trivandum and also this college as it is home for so many aspirants in may fields

BEST LAW COLLEGE IN KERALA

Likes

I liked the friendly atmosphere of the college. Its definitely a ragging free csmpus.
Studying law here is very much affordable compared to other private law colleges.
Faculty here is really exceptional..most of the teachers are Ph.d holders.

Dislikes

As the college is 150 yrs old, the infrastructure seems to be very poor.
College provides Hostel facilities for girls inside the campus but it cannot accomodate as many people. Mostly girls from north of kerala gets the hostel facilities
This college lacks some of the things like an auditorium, a ground

Admission:

I haven't applied for any other colleges or courses as I wanted to study BA.LLb in a Government law college and I had a good rank in KLEE for that. For students who would like to get in this college must attend Kerala Law Entrance Exam( KLEE) and must secure a rank below 350( cutt off for General Category). Once you got into this college, they will provide you with orientation sessions of one or two weeks.

My Campus - The Best One - GLCT

Likes

Quality teachers is an important featute of every govt law college.
The friendly atmosphere makes the first years feel home very easily
Our library is one the largest law libraries among other govt law colleges .. it helps a lot

Dislikes

The boys : girls ratio is 1:4.. it is one thing i dislike
Infrastructure could be a bit more improved .. we dont even have an auditorium
Over embursement of political parties is somehow not a very likeable thing

Admission:

Actually, i did not apply to any other college than this. I really wanted to get into the famous Govt Law College Tvpm and i did. I wanted to study law pursue a career and write competitive examinations. For that, the best option was to opt the 5-year integrated Ba llb programme. And the only govt law college in Kerala which provided the course was this college. So I opted for it with full mind and till now there is no going back. I love my college. I wrote the Klee entrance exam achieved good rank opted for this college and got a placement here.

Opportunities

Likes

The teachers are good. Capable, we gets more exposure through many contests.
But there are less placement offers. Students have to find there own way.
Internship opportunities are provided but only available for limited number if students

Dislikes

Less placement offers compared to other private colleges.
University is slow in conducting sem exams and publishing results.
Students in the final years will have to face back to back exams simultaneously.

Admission:

After my graduation i took a break for few years. Prepared and attempted a few competitive exams and later prepared for Kerala law entrance exam in 2023. I cleared it in first attempt and joined this college in November.

The academic structure is very good but they're not providing that much study materials it need to get improved
In my campus socialization is very good but yeah it's kinda depends upon our political interactions
Our college is conducting so many legal and non legal programs which is very helpful as well

Dislikes

The political interactions sucks because neutrality the person one who's not included in any party is having difficulty
Politics in the college need to get reduced and academic improvement need to increase
Partiality in the. College. By teachers and students

Admission:

I've given this government law college Thiruvananthapuram as my first option as well because of the academic structure and studying criteria of the college is good and fast compared to the other colleges
