Law Life

Me myself influenced me to take this course. I don't have a generational lawyer in my family. So my dream is to become the first lawyer in my family. The curriculum doesn't prepare us to pursue a social world. The bookish knowledge helps us to secure food marks. But to know the real law world we need to step out of college and meet new people.

Many internship opportunities are available here. Police stations, courts, village offices, panchayats, women's commission, blind commission, prisons etc. I have done internships in DLSA Vanchiyoor Trivandrum, panchayat in my home town, and Kerala administrative tribunal Trivandrum. I haven't done any internship which includes stipend.

The placement cell in my college is like a kid. It is just growing up. My seniors have been settled into multinational companies through placement cell in my college. Wipro, Infosys etc are the companies. Students should have an impressive CV, the college will guide us to make an impressive CV. 50% students get placements .

I pay Rs2500 as my college semester fees. I don't come under any reservations so I need to pay the full fees. Tuition fees and all other fees are included in this amount. This a Government College so the fees is comparatively less. My batchmates include students from reserved categories, they can avail e grants by submitting the required documents. So they don't require to pay any fees.

The union in our college forms the social world of the students in my college. Starting from freshers program, piravi, sakshya, campus Biennale etc are the fests provided by the college union. Sports and university sports meet are excellent opportunities for sports interested students. Clubs include dance, moviola, music, drama, Malayalam literature etc. We have a vast library which is available upto 7pm.

I live in a hostel near my college. I have a single room here with all the facilities. The fees is 11,000 with food. The meals are average. The room has a study table, fan , bed attached bathroom etc.

I chose this college because it is a Government College and it's fees structure is comparatively feasible. The freedom in government college helps us to grow. Government Colleges have the freedom to choose political stands. Admission process includes an entrance exam. Kerala law entrance examination, in short KLEE drives us to LLB in Kerala colleges.

Teachers of Government law college Trivandrum are highly qualified. They have LLB LLM as well as doctrate degrees. They are efficient in many languages. They can manage law really well. They have excellent articulation methods. The faculties are really approachable for any issues. We have semester exams. As I am a student of unitary LLB, it is a three year course after completing a degree. The 3 years are divided into 6 semesters. Every semester has 20 marks for internals and 80 marks for semester exams. The 20 marks are divided into 5 marks for attendance, 5 marks for seminar, 5 marks for assignment, 5 marks for internal exam. The exams are comparatively tough. But thorough revision is helpful in clearing LLB.

Nightlife in campus includes sports programs and other celebrations like Diwali. Library is open upto 7pm. Public area closes only at 9pm Girls hostel is included in the campus . It has a curfew at 9pm
