Likes

College library is very good. Plenty of legal works. Really helpful for our assignments and seminar works.
The college carriers high legacy as it is since 1875. The alumina of our college are really notable.
The students are highly talented and enthusiastic. The are encouraged to participate in competitions and extra curriculum activities

Dislikes

The quality of lectures is not appreciated. Many professors fail to get the rhythm of students and to teach
The infrastructure is old so the facilities too. Number of toilets for the students are so less.
No proper play ground. So the students cant look after on thir physical activities

Course Curriculum Overview

Timing of exams are so tiring. The semester end won't meet the respective sem exams. For example - studying 3rd semester and writing 1st semester exam. It is very normal as of now cause of the delay occurred in our entrance exams and admission process.

Internships Opportunities

We apply ourselves for internships. College doesn't involve. We can do internships in government offices, courts and wherever law implemented. There are no paid internships available for law students in Kerala as of now. This is a major issue.

Fees and Financial Aid

Comparing to private legal education, this is so cheap. But the financial assistance like e grants are never granted to me till my now( 2nd yr ending). So it is hard to pay along with the hostel fees. Also the transportation charges are high.

Campus Life

Politics is very active in the campus So all the function are held by political parties. No such events have been conducted from the college management. The accessibility of book and journals in library is good. Sports activities and competitions are very bad here. As there is no facilities done for that

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are quite good. The food menu is prepared by the students run mess committee. The bills are not appropriate some times. The quality of meal is good. The facilities provided are enough for a law student.

Admission

Admission to all government colleges in kerala are done through entrance exam named Kerala Law Entrance Examination ( KLEE). We get the admission according to our rank and seat availability in 4 different campuses. We can apply for the examination through online registration. Parents are required for the admission at college. It is more difficult to take them if the student is from far away place.

The quality of lectures are very low. Also some faculties approach to students are not that good. It will more convenient if the faculties try to communicate with the students in friendly way. They are highly qualified. But not so good with teaching. This effects students appearance on examinations as it will lack thoroughness

Likes

College programmes are really enjoyable for everyone
Campus is fully protected from external interferences

Valuation camp in university makes deduction in class
They dont provide immediate updation about holiday

Placement Experience:

Actually now i dont know anything about placements in my college for my course and i dont even bother about it. My plan after getting this degree is to pursue llm in international law for settling in aborad

Likes

The college strictly concentrate on academic side of the student. And no other skills are developed comparatively. Space for co curriculum activities are poor.
Students in the campus are quite disciplined. Uniformity is maintained well. The students are strictly trained to be professionals .
The campus provide more like school atmosphere than a college

Dislikes

There is no space for personal development and skill development .
Teachers are more into academic forced and books related.
The campus is small and there is no place to explore

The college provide sports meet annually and college day , ethnic day and other important days. The programmes are quite students oriented and its not effective to all the students. Only the students talented get chances. Exams are conducted regularly and results are published on times

Likes

Good teaching staff with high qualification who are very engaging and motivating .They didn't teach solely the syllabus but also other practices one should observe in acourt room.They are very willing to clear the doubts at any time of the day.
The office staff is also very good.All the one even the cleaning staff do their work with utmost attention
An environment friendly campus with large essence of greenery

Dislikes

No placements options are available for the students
Extracurricular activities are very rare
No college programmes is conducting and very strict atmosphere

Course Curriculum Overview:

The moot court competitions and debate competitions are conducted many times in a year which are very useful for a law student.I wish if there are more interested college competitions then it would be more useful.Usually there is a gap of six months between two exams and during that period students get enough time for preperation.

The campus is lively with a lot of happening such as Debates, Sports, Quizzing etc even after class hours
Seniors have fostered an atmosphere which makes juniors feel at home
Campus is inclusive and diverse and caters needs for students with special needs

Placement Experience:

There have been instance where students are offered PPOs after delivering extra ordinary performances in Moot and related competitions. Approximately around 90% of students who opt for placements get placed with decent pay scale

The college is situated in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram
We can easily access the town and major places
We get exposure from this college and contact with well established aluminious

The most affordable college to learn law in Kerala.

Likes

Facilities are well educated and most of them are phd holders. They provide absolutely well assistance in academic and extra curriculum
Ambience of the college. The college is situated in the major part of Thiruvananthapuram city near kerala legislative Assembly and other major state offices. Campus also has good ambience and scenery
Fees structure is very affordable. Fees per year is below 10000 and it is really worth for normal people

Dislikes

Campus doesn't have wifi access. It is a major drawback of the college
College hostel for women is very Conjusted.
Building lacks necessary amneties and buildings should be more well in their structure

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i mentioned only 60% of students pass in the exam. This is because the exam delay. We have to write the exam of 1st semester while we are on 3rd sem. That's why most of the students find it difficult.

I like the library of college. Because it is very spacious and has a lot of books and e library is also there
The infrastructure of the college is really nice
For female students the pad disposal machine is really likeable

Dislikes

The canteen of the college is not good. Sometimes it's closed sometimes it's open

Basically i like the course very much. I reside near to the college so i decided to take admission in CSIILS. And also the college is very good. Well disciplined. The curriculum prepares me for real world applications very much. The teachers can improve their teaching methods via shortening the portions. Exams will be conducted every 4 to 5 months the toughness of exam is average if you study properly

About the College

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I am passionate about the legal profession. In addition, the course is 5 years long, with dual degrees awarded upon completion. The program is excellent, but the college faculty is appalling. Some people are natural teachers, while others come to obtain experience in their chosen industry. It's also a problem because new professors come and go frequently during each semester, which is a horrible practice because it disrupts the continuity of the classes and makes it impossible for the professors to assess the pupils. Although the facilities are qualified, none of the staff members are qualified to teach or explain subjects to students. Some are seasoned professors who can provide the most up-to-date information, while others are below standard. Exams are not difficult if you follow the syllabus you can pass. You'll also have to write more on the answer paper, which will be difficult to do in the time allotted. The faculty-to-student ratio is unfavorable.

Honest Words

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams usually conducted in two parts as semester ways. But due to the current covid situationno exams has been conducted upto this date. I think some times they probably go for a online exam. Because in kerala the current situation is bad. In the whole India kerala is facing more challenges. The exams are more difficult to pass. The criterion for passing the exams are really hard. Probably the passing average is less compared to other colleges.

Good aspects : well trained teachers a very informative and huge library helping office staffs. The college has a good campus and has excellent teaching faculty. Its highly cost effective (approx. Rs 1700 per year) and the campus is extremely good.
