Likes

The college also issues many scholarship opportunities which have been approved by the government.
The computer science faculty was credited with good qualifications as well as they were very friendly towards students.
It's has a very good placement which helps in the future..

Dislikes

There is small area for animals in our college which created bad smell of their outputs. There are horses, rabbits, ducks, birds, dove, emu etc.. These areas create a bad smell when we go near them. It?? sometimes irritating and frustrating there.
Some teachers are not friendly out there it's very awful.
Toilet?? are not always clean , they often forget to clean them

Unveiling the campus chronicles : Christ College, Irinjalakuda

I like the infrastructure about my college. It’s has a very peaceful atmosphere to study and mingle among teachers and students. It also has very skill full teachers to teach. They are graduated from NITs, IIM’s, etc …. They also have good attitude.
It has a very big auditorium for all extra curricular as well as academical activities. It also has sufficient facilities. For example, each block contains men’s bathroom and women’s bathroom. Staff toilets are separate. They are always clean & tidy.
My college has an open gym for open workouts and an extravagant closed gym for sports students. There is an open garden for all the students and a private one only for girls. It also has an open library where we can read during leisure time. Good tim

Dislikes

Disliking my college is not a real thing. But to be honest, teacher are sometimes old fashioned. They diverge into our private life and interfere. They say they mark attendance but didn’t have marked in the portal. Some of them does not speak well.
A college having uniform makes the students uniform. Our college does not have a uniform which makes students difficult to wear cloths daily. An other thing to be mentioned is that students in my class does not have a healthy competition among kids.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I strictly does not in believe in studying political science and history while doing a degree course of Economics subject because they are completely different. I had political science and history until 2 years in 4 semesters in total. I prefer to give mathematics for us as it would have been easy for us now, when we have much bigger questions to solve.

College campus is beautiful and well maintained
Classrooms are very neat. College provides opportunities and facilities for the education of the students
Christ College is also good in sports. College provides all the required facilities for the growth of the students

Dislikes

In this college neither us nor our juniors got freshers day programme inside the college.
In self financing courses, some of the faculties are already retired from aided because of age and rejoined.

Placement Experience:

Placement process starts from the end of fifth semester. College provides training programmes for students who have interest in placement. Salary packages varies between companies from 15K-45K per month.

Other than nss and ncc they do have organizations such as csa and thavanish. The selected students xan actively participate in those organizations and they can also build more humanity and social work skills
They do provide placements and other certificate courses

Nowadays the relevance of social work is very high. More than the academic level one must be really interested and active socially. They want to prepare themselves to be ready for any work suddenly. Social work students want to initiate their own programs for the seek of the needy so those who are ready to spend their time and effort for them are capable of this course.

The environment is very spacious,it's good
There is a lot of extra curricular activities i.e, clubs and events

Inexperienced staff , they are not teacher-trained

The course curriculum is good because it covers all the areas . It is a new course and has its own drawbacks . It is a job oriented course. Every semester has practicals as well as theory. It is a vocational course due to that it contains 60% practical and 40% theory

Likes

The infrastructure and the campus is awesome.Campus is always clean and there are 2 good gardens and a lot of area with a lots of trees.
Beside the previous years college events and celebrations are less but even though they are good and enjoyable.
There are a vast variety of courses but most of them are self financed courses. The college also provides add on courses where students can achieve certificates from any course they want.

Dislikes

The management is strict and doesn’t allow to conduct many programs. Also they are sometimes strict about the dress code.
The management and faculties shows a gender separation during celebrations and programs and also some faculties don’t allow to sit beside boys in classrooms.

Christ college my experience

Likes

College ambience was good.Nature conservative.Good infrastructure .
Clean and good condition toilets and sanitaries.facilities to take rest

Dislikes

Lack of enjoyment.Need to conduct proper good programs.

Placements are available from many companies such as Accenture, Deloitte,tcs, federal Bank and many more and offers a good amount p.a.placement assistance is also given by the placement cell working at college.

The campus is well equipped with wifi facilities to students
Has large library with lot of book collections

Has not much space for parking and lacked security for the students possession
Some of the areas was restricted for some students
Attendance was not marked correctly in the college website.

The bca curriculum goes through the basic computer science syllabus like programming in c , python , java . But even though there are lab periods, there lacked practical teaching , syllabus should have provided more objective study. Moreover the exams were conducted in timely manner.

My review about christ college as a student

Likes

i liked the faculty of the college. All are very experienced and good teaching
i liked the campus very much. It feels so peaceful in the college with lots of space
eco friendlliness of the college is another appreciatable point to say

Dislikes

the thing i disliked is about the interference of teachers in students dressing
benches and dusks in the classrooms are not comfortable
fans are not there as much needed. sometime it feels so much hot in the classroom

Placement Experience:

From sixth semester students will be eligible for placements. Christ college provides very vast oppertunities in placement. every year the student gets placed in well reputed companies. The minimum percentage for placement is 60% and above

The campus is so good . The atmosphere and the places here are very soothing. The renovations here is really great and we could say that it's a clean campus. The bathrooms are all clean .
Girls have retiring rooms which have a sick room study hall and bathrooms changing rooms etc.

Dislikes

The dress codes for girls are so unfair.neat and modest dresses can be demanded. But it's a bit extreme here. The programmes and fests are only for some specific departments. The lack of waste disposal bins are a problem here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Geology is one of the best course you can study if you're concentrating on professional courses.it have various branches. And our placement cell is working efficiently which assures job and internships in major companies and foreign countries. Geology is easy to study for people who love science. But you need to read more and more inordwr to crack exams,as there's no textbook for geology . Only degree is not enough for you to get a job but doing masters will get you enough qualification for higher studies or jobs.
