Curriculum is made in a way so that you can learn everything, they'll teach you from the base to the higher levels, and it is more of real world oriented instead of being extra creative Become in the end you'll have to work according to the industry norms

The placements at my college to be very honest with you are not as great especially if you consider the fact that you're spending so much money in the college fees. So NIFT has a centralized placement system where it is only held in the top 5 colleges and the students from the other nifts have to go there for theirs. From what I've heard and read the placement are always pretty disappointing and bad. Many students end up not getting placed or taking up offers thag are not fair for the amount of time and energy you've put into into it. The biggest con of joining my college is infact the placement as many people don't consider it a good investment for it's bad returns.

When you are in year 3(internships or placements both) or 4(placement) then you're eligible to work in industry. Accessory design is the best department in our campus (gandhinagar) and thus highly reputated companies hire them. So there's a kind of series that is followed that companies first gives preference to DELHI and MUMBAI and then other campuses. As far as my department (fashion communication) is concerned they're mostly given opportunities in retail companies for example- a VISUAL MERCHANDISER in WESTSIDE. Last year GANDHINAGAR was number one in placements with a package of 9,00,000/- Marks or CGPAs matters at the end but a good portfolio matters alot in designing college. Right now I have just completed first year so I have this much information only regarding placements. My plans would be ofcourse to sit for placements and get hired in a good comapny. After getting enough money for my masters I shall go abroad for masters as it builds a good portfolio and even more better job

Students in PG become eligible in the third sem. Major companies are Aravind mills, satva consulting, Myntra, target, Aditya Birla, etc. The average package is 4 lac and the highest is 10-12 lacs. Students can get into visual design, brand management, graphic design, UI UX design, trend forecaster, etc. I plan on getting a job and working as a UI UX designer.
Employment is your call. Where you want to get placed. Good companies do come. More than percentages it's about your portfolio. Your work will speak for itself. Generally, people have now started their own business after working for like 2-3 years with companies.
College provides campus placement offer in the 8th semester whereas some student also get placement in their 7th semester. Different Indian and international companies visit for the placement. The packages mostly range from 4lakh to 8lakh
From the 7th semester, students get the opportunity for campus placements. The average package is around 5-7 lakhs per annum. Many bug companies do visit here, placements for freshers do not seem to be good but good for career opportunities in future.
I know about my department here 70% students got campus selection rest other will find a job also. Government job is also available hare. After completing your 4 years of courses you are eligible for campus placement. Average of 400000of annual salary you get. My plan is still not ready
