Remarks

There was step by step process first, was the written exam which was divided into two parts MCQ and drawing, and after the results of the exam those who pass the first one there was a practical exam at the NIFT center. For the reservation part, I am avail of the scholarship for ST girls while my last semester.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty and staff are very good. Mentors are very supportive. It's always a one-on-one conversation with faculty. The individual will give time to you, and if wanted extra time is also given. While talking about the exam we barely have 1-2 theory exams per semester. It was always a jury( presenting your work in front of a panel)

Internships Opportunities

4

Well, I didi an internship at Arvind Denim limited, and then I worked with Punjab Je sari in Delhi. Apart from that, there are many companies, you will find out that are proving internship opportunities only for NIFT. NIFT Ians are preferred in the design field. So, you will find opportunities. You have to keep looking for it and get connected.

Placement Experience

4

Employment is your call. Where you want to get placed. Good companies do come. More than percentages it's about your portfolio. Your work will speak for itself. Generally, people have now started their own business after working for like 2-3 years with companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

There is always a chance of getting a Job on campus if you take part, and start getting connections and contact while your internship itself that will help you to place immediately after your graduation

Campus Life

4.5

Life on the campus is very lively. It's not always studying, apart from that as a work part, we go to interview people, visit stores and meet new people. Campus life is very festive. Working with seniors and juniors, celebrating every festive is a very cool thing

Interview Experience

4.5

I didn't face group discussion questions during the interview process as such, but yes exams were interactive and different. For the first round of the written exam were awareness and general knowledge. Drawing was something I always did and was passionate about so the second exam was quite easy. The second exam after clearing the first was practical in which I was supposed to make a 3D set( environment from the material given(straw, glue, board) the topics were teachers' day and more. We have to choose anyone and work for 3 hours

Other Applied Colleges

CEPT University | Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]

I preferred NIFT befor the CEPT

Placement Experience:

You get placements here in the final year of UG/PG courses. A high percentage of students get placed here. Highest package is 32 lakh and avg is 15-20 lakhs. I'm personally planning on persuing a master's degree later on. There should be an improvement in this placement category.

Placement Experience:

When you are in year 3(internships or placements both) or 4(placement) then you're eligible to work in industry. Accessory design is the best department in our campus (gandhinagar) and thus highly reputated companies hire them. So there's a kind of series that is followed that companies first gives preference to DELHI and MUMBAI and then other campuses. As far as my department (fashion communication) is concerned they're mostly given opportunities in retail companies for example- a VISUAL MERCHANDISER in WESTSIDE. Last year GANDHINAGAR was number one in placements with a package of 9,00,000/- Marks or CGPAs matters at the end but a good portfolio matters alot in designing college. Right now I have just completed first year so I have this much information only regarding placements. My plans would be ofcourse to sit for placements and get hired in a good comapny. After getting enough money for my masters I shall go abroad for masters as it builds a good portfolio and even more better job

Course Curriculum Overview:

Way of learning and hands on work is very important. The curriculum is pre decided and very organised which prepares us for our juries in time. the area of improvement shouldnt be in my hands as the faculties know its better than us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very up-to-date. New modules are added every year based on industry requirements. The curriculum decisions are independent of the board, so new changes can be added quickly. From the second year onwards, the studios are revised every semester with new studios being added every semester. Feedback from students is also incorporated while designing the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interior design as a career is a good option as you get to know a lot of things practically. The faculty is really good you can have one-to-one conversations whenever you want. They really give attention if you ask one. Our faculties have completed their mdes in interior. One year consists of 2 sem in which sem 1 has 2 parts one is jury which is taken by an external jury member and one from our faculty itself. They ask many questions but you need to have a proper reason for your every work.

College Trutt

4.0Helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I basically choose this course to explore the world more and explore myself too. The overall faculty is really good, keeps students motivated and helps them wherever the students get stuck. The faculty is highly qualified from well known institutes in India, and the term exams are held twice a year and passing the exam depends totally on your preparations.
