The institute offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs various disciplines of Agriculture and Research in collaboration with PG School of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. IASRI holds the approval of UGC and occupies a place of pride in the National Agricultural Statistics System (NASS).
Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) in New Delhi was established in 1970 which is under the ICAR a leading institute in the country for agricultural research and education. This institute is approved by ICAR and has been certified as a Quality management system. It undertakes research, teaching and training in Agricultural Statistics, Computer Application and Bioinformatics.
The entrance exam weightage for the selection process is 80% whereas 10% weightage is given to the interview process and 10% weightage is given to the academic attainments. The cut off percentage of ICAR is 50% for general and 40% for SC/ST/PC candidates.

IASRI PhD Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed their 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+1+4 in their Bachelor’s Degree Program in the required field of Agriculture.
- They must have completed their Master’s Degree Program from the required field.
- Candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks for general category and minimum 55% marks for SC/ST category in their Master’s Degree Program.

How to Apply for IASRI?
Students who wish to take admission in IASRI can follow the following steps for admission:
- The official notice for application form will be released in the newspaper or on the official website in March.
- The candidates should fill this form through online mode only with required documents.
- The payments for the application form should also be filled through online mode only.
- The candidates can apply for admission to one discipline only.
- The candidates can choose the Examination Centre on their Own.
- After the application is proceed, the candidates will be provided with their Admit Card online.
- The candidate then can appear for their offline mode Examination.
- The results are declared on their website.
Admission for Foreign Students:
- Candidates should forward their application through their respective Embassies/Mission at New Delhi or through the respective Indian Mission abroad to the Government of India/ Secretary, DARE, New Delhi.
- Candidates shall be considered only if they are sponsored by the Government of India/ DARE/ICAR.
- Admissions of such Candidates shall be made on the scrutiny of the bio-data and on the recommendation of the Professor of the concerned discipline.
