IASRI review for PhD course

The course curriculum is pretty flexible and have a dynamic course structure, which is pretty much research oriented especially Statistical Genetics with special emphasis on computational aspects among the practicing breeders, statisticians, and researchers.

My admission was done on the basis of my JRF rank and there is no fee for the Phd students. Instead we were eligible for fellowships.

Scholarships are provided to the students by the ICAR under numerous schemes like Netaji Subhash International fellowship etc.

PGSSAU and AIASA are groups on campus for student's welfare. All major festivals and cultural activities are celebrated. The institute has a good atmosphere and one of the best colleges in Asia.

The institute provides accommodation facilities to the students at pretty reasonable prices.

For the PhD degree program, the admission process is done on the basis of entrance test like NET-JRF, followed by a round of interview test.

The faculty here is most talented and supportive. My mentor was like a lifeguard for me. Whenever I am in trouble, he would help me out and guide me with my project and thesis. It’s a pioneering course for which they have qualified faculty to guide the students in the right direction.
