Saintgits Design School Kottayam B.Des Product Design is offered as 4 Years Full Time program. The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Des is 10+2 with 50% +UCEED. Saintgits Design School Kottayam B.Des Product Design Admission 2025

The minimum eligibility for admission to B.Des Product Design at Saintgits Design School Kottayam is 10+2 with 50% +UCEED.

SDS takes in students who have completed 10+2 schooling from any stream with a minimum of 50% marks and having qualified in any approved Design Admission Tests examination conducted by IIT (UCEED), NID (DAT), NIFT, Council of Architecture (NATA) or LBS (KS-DAT).

Saintgits Design Aptitude Test (SDAT)

Students also have to take our admission test SDAT (see link to sample question paper on this page) to get admission in SDS. SDAT is held a few times in a year. Students have to register through SDS website. Shortlisted students will be invited for a test in campus. The test has three parts:

1. Design Aptitude Test (30% weightage)
   (10AM-11AM)
   This test comprises of multiple choice questions on general knowledge, analytical ability and questions testing writing and drawing skills. The test is for 1 hour. (Bring your own pens, pencils, eraser, ruler, sketch pens and colour pencils.)
    
2. Studio Test (30% weightage)
   (11.30AM-12.30AM)
   Here you will be given a set of materials and asked to make a product using them in 1 hour. (Materials will be provided)
    
3. Portfolio Review (10% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage)
   (1.30PM onwards)
   During the interview, your performance in the two tests will be discussed and portfolio will be reviewed. Parents may also be called in, if needed.

Selected candidates will be informed in a few days and asked to join by a date, with their marksheet, and admission test score card paying the joining fees to confirm their seat. Admissions will be offered provisionally, subject to the candidate meeting all requirements before the joining date.
