Okay starting from the fees 1st semester it is 66,150 then 2nd to 4th sem it is 64,900 so in a year 1 lakh 31 thousand is the fee structure..which means in 2years to complete masters 2lakhs andhalf we have to pay. For now i have already paid 20 ,000 for the admission the rest we have to pay 40,150 Compared to my colleages who have studied abroad the fees here in Shillong is more expensive..for them 1 lakh will be enough for 2years masters degree because thete fees comes somewhere betweeen 20 to 25 thousand per semester but there are other colleges too which are more expensive for example Assam don bosco university is more expensive than Edmunds Apart from the fees the students have to pay from their own pockets for their fieldworks expenditure which we always go twice a week so if we get placements in agencies which are far almost 500 to 700 it will cost us for thr taxi fare ,food etc. We also have to pay for our rural camp and study tour..which they take us abroad. Yes the college do provide scholardhips nad i've recieved the scholarship thrice. No the college fee is the same for everyone .

My College Experience in St. Edmund's College

Dislikes

The class timing is very tight. We have classroom from 8:30am till 4:00pm. Hence, we barely get time for our self to study and complete our work on time.
The fees structure is very high in our college, compare to any other college in the state

Fees and Financial Aid:

We are paying our fees by Semester wise. The fees is 27,500 per semester for the course that I've opted. The no breakage of fees, meaning that it cannot be paid by installments. The fees are to be paid three weeks before the final exam starts in every semester. The Government provides the scholarship that doesn't even cover our semester fees. With the implementation of the NEP 2020 our fees has increased. We paid fees much higher than we paid before. We pay hostel fees 8000 per month. The scholarship provided by the government depends on the college we are studying in. It also depends on the course we're taking. In our college the scholarship is 25000, which doesn't even cover our semester fees. Also there's is no regularity of giving the scholarship by the government. Some students may receive the scholarship and some may not. Hence, it is difficult for us to cover our semester fees, coaching fees and hostel fees.

The Perks of College Life

?26,200 for each semester. Admission fees costs around 5000 which got deducted from the first semester fees. No exam fees aside. Biotechnology fees costs about ?40,000. Sociology around ?19,000. Overall,there is no increase in course fees as of yet.

For the course I opted my fees is around 27 thousand rupees annually.This is the total annual fees for BA geography and it includes all the fees like registration,lab etc..fees can go higher or lower depending on the course . Science based courses have a higher fee structure meanwhile subjects like English have the lowest . Scholarships are given by the state government and not by the college.. scholarship can be around 30 thousand rupees

I'll be paying 39,700 and additional 10,020 for my minors and other courses like MDC, SEC, etc. for the 1st year. I paid 19,850 for my major Psychology, 1st Semester (lab fees included). My friends from Sociology department paid 20,040 for their 1st year. I haven't applied for any scholarships yet but there are scholarships available for students on different schemes.

The yearly fees for St Edmunds college, Shillong depends on the course. If youre studying BA , it will be 30000 yearly and for BSC , it will be 40000 to 50000. For BCA and commerce , it will be 30000 to 40000 approx. Admission fees and registration fees are 10000. And you have to pay an extra 200 for choosing a particular subject and electives. The scholar's provided for students are 15000 to 20000 depending on the student's states of application
