BSOLS - a promising law college

Likes

The main positive is the top notch infrastructure of the college. It's not a vast but well built campus with auditorium, canteen and library. The overall ambience is very good for studies and focus. The faculty is also very well experienced
The faculty is very much dedicated to teach the students, and well educated. The social life and rapport between students is commendable as it's a five year course and there's ample time to build a solid friendship between juniors and seniors
The curriculum and syllabus includes two main fields as it is two degrees. It's an extensive mix of both commerce and law subjects that cover management, commerce, business and legal service structure of the country. Student friendly campus!

Dislikes

One of the drawbacks is the lack of student encouragement programmes that students will be more interested to participate in. There are webinars and conventions but not very interactive rather just speeches by different speakers
There's no much programmes other than moot courts which usually has a selection criteria and repetitive participation of the same students in various competitions.
There is strict supervision by faculty and security on the movement of students inside the campus and the departure outside, but having to get an outpass even if it's an emergency and there's no time is bit hectic. There are not much of drawbacks

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's an integrated course. So we have ten semesters and six subjects each in all semesters. My course is a mix of commerce and law. So the first two years are more concentrated on commerce subjects like business management, accounting of companies, business communication, various fields in business and economics etc. The last three years give more importance to law subjects. The laws relating to companies, administration, labour laws, industrial laws, private and public international laws, land law, property law, and Codes like IPC, CPC, CrPC, Evidence act, contracts, tort and constitution are given importance in each semester. It's a very vast syllabus including all the necessary laws that a lawyer should be aware of in our country. The college is affiliated to the syllabus of Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala

Likes

The faculties are too good... They have a great mentorship quality.
Our college is a green campus.. And have many facilities
Self development and many programs regarding our profession and conducting in our college

Dislikes

Programs such as college day is very bad.. Like they are not providing fund for any program
There is nothing to be disliked in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency and timing of our semester exams are 3 hrs.. And internsl exam have 1.5hr.. Oru faculties will prepare very well for the real world application or further academic pursuits.. The worth of this course influenced me to choose this course..

Bsols have a beautiful campus environment, eco- friendly with nature and a good reputation. Better administration both educationally and cultural co curricular activities support each other

The location could have been in a city area

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here the course curriculum is as per today's standard and also really nice and knowledgable. Bsols is known for its sports team and members and other cultural events . We have clubs for theatre, dance, music, speech, literature, nature, blood donar, womens club everthing well organized and with department healths and programmes are initiated every year. It would have been more comfortable if college provided fininacial aid to there students

I wanted to do this course since I 10 th standard. My aunt is an advocate and I was inspired by her.i think I took the right decision by joining this course. This course has great career opportunities. You can work in corporate firms or practice as an advocate.

Beware of BSOLS

Likes

Timely and proper lectures by the teachers.
Understanding and pleasant attitude of the students.
A minimum standard of social behaviour and well mannered students

Dislikes

No management fests or other programmes from the part of management
Partial teachers who favour their favourite students
Overly strict rules which give little to no freedom for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the curriculum prescribed by MG University since the college is affiliated to MG University. There are 10 semesters across 5 years and 6 subjects in each semester. The subjects are relevant to legal journey and it helps to understand laws properly. The exams, however, are very much lagging and rarely happen on time.

The environmental background of the college
Teaching staffs and other non teaching staff are always friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university exams are will be 3 hours and the syllabus are always up-to-date. Major incidents and crimes are included in the syllabus. Also the internships will help to experience more from the real-world. The syllabus is bit vast and sometimes it takes too much time to study. We can't even study the major topics.
