04 Nov, 2025 CAT 2025 Admit Card release date has been postponed. The admit cards of the registered candidates will now be available for download @iimcat.ac.in from November 12, 2025. CAT 2025 Exam will be held on November 30, 2025 (Sunday) for MBA/ PGDM admission. For more details, check here.

Admission for MBA at NIBM Pune involves multiple steps, which are as follows:

Step 1: Candidates need to appear for any one (or more) amongst CAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT or GRE. Majority of the aspirants prefer CAT and CMAT. You need to apply separately on the official website of NIBM Pune and submit scores of one or multiple exams from the ones mentioned above.
Step 2: The next step is to wait for the Interview call. Usually they send a mail for this to the shortlisted candidates, however it is advised to keep checking the official website as well.
Step 3: After the PI and Oral Communication test (OCT) the final merit list and waiting lists are prepared considering past academic scores (mainly 10th and 12th marks), entrance exam scores, PI and OCT score and Extra Curricular and work ex score.

Important Points

NIBM Pune does not offer direct admission. You need to appear for any of the given entrance exams to be eligible for admission.
Merely appearing for the entrance exam will not suffice for admission. You need to separately fill the application form on its official website.
The application Fee is Rs 2,500.
Once your name appears in the merit lists, you need to pay the first installment of Fees (around 3.4 Lacs) within 14 days to confirm your admission.

Admission:

Actually I didn't apply for any other college. I applied to NIBM only and got in. The reason I opted this college is because of the Course they are providing. I have always intrigued by the finance world. Also Banking and Finance are backbone of any country. NIBM is an Institute established of RBI so it speaks volume about the quality of education they must be providing. Also I talked to few of the students who were already here even they recommended it highly. So I felt confident about NIBM & went for it. Admission process: I came through CMAT, but you can also opt for this college via CAT, XAT & GRE. Cut off is 94 %ile (CAT, XAT, GRE) & 98.5%ile (CMAT). After clearing the cut off you have to sit for Extempore and PI. Once you clear all these levels then only you get a chance in NIBM.

Admission:

National Institute of Bank Management is an apex institute set up and governed by RBI, The Institute is engaged in Research (policy and operations), Training & Education of senior executives of banks and provides Consulting support to the banking and financial sector, getting into such college is something like dream coming true. The college guarantees 100% placements and looking at the 2021 placement even after the pandemic the college was successful in securing 100% placement. The average salary went around 10.03 LPA and the highest was 22LPA, 50% of the candidate got an average of 12.09 LPA. Overall the college is very good in terms of placement and infrastructure and should not be given a second thought before taking admissions.

Admission:

I have applied to the Institute of Financial Management and Research Chennai, goa institute of management, great lakes institute of management Chennai,welingkar Mumbai and Bangalore etc. I have not availed any quota because there is not any quota available for students till last year but this year they are providing reservations according to Indian govt rules. Criteria for securing admission into the National Institute of Bank Management is very complex. First, the candidate needs to clear the entrance exam like CAT / XAT / CMAT ..Cut off for the Cat/xat/cmat were 80/80/95 till last year but this year cut off was changed due to the new reservation policy of the college. After clearing the cutoff Candidate need to appear for the Group discussion round and personal interview round. After clearing all three rounds the candidate will be offered admission into the institute. There were not any limitations as far as age is concerned. If you have a bachelor degree you are eligible.

I am inclined towards the BFSI sector, and NIBM offers PGDM in Banking and Financial Services under the supervision of RBI and is known for 100 percent placement since its inception. Usually, RBI Governor acts as a chairman of the NIBM governing board. 1. Admission Process NIBM accepts CAT/ XAT and CMAT As per the cut-offs, the GDPI round takes places followed by a merit list 2. Reason of preference Batch Size - 120 Students Placement - 100 percent since its inception Decent Return on Investment Industrial Connect and exceptional faculties, And last but not least it's a lush green residential campus

All you need to know about National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM)

Admission:

The admission process in National Institute of Bank Management has 3 stages which includes written exam, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). First you have take the written exam, the form will be available from the month of November till January end. Once shortlisted, you will be called for Group Discussion (GD).Due to COVID the Group discussion process was cancelled. I attended the personal interview round. Most of the question will be asked from your resume and some questions from the current news including basic terms used in banking field or banking sector. Overall the interview questions are well balanced.

Learning and great experience

Admission:

I was quite intrigued about learning the nitigrity of banking in detail. Thus NIBM is the only institute that has always been in the top in providing the knowledge, learning and experience in the banking. I gave CMAT in January 2019, score 96 percentile and got the call from NIBM. I was interviewed at NIBSCOM delhi by the well knowledgeable faculties of NIBM and finally got it convereted. The day I reached NiBm it was and is beautiful, the beauty of the campus is always missed in this lockdown. The curriculum is way ahead. Faculties are quite experienced and helpful.

NIBM that is the National Institute of Banking and Management Pune is considered one of the best in the country and ‘The Best’ in the state. NIBM received Worldwide Achievers’ Award for a good performance at B-School in Banking and Finance. The criteria for admission at the institute are as follows.

Criteria for Admission:

For Admission, every individual has to follow the basic guidelines put forward by the university authorities.

NIBM is an AICTE approved college that accepts the admission of graduates above 50% score or equivalent CGPA by any MHRD recognized college or university.
Students are shortlisted for admission based on the score for CAT/CMAT/XAT.
After that, the shortlisted candidates have to give the Written Ability Test (WAT).
The final selection is done by the university after the written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
These selected students have to send an email to the University by sending RS 1 lakh for the confirmation of acceptance.

Cutoff:

The University provides its cutoff based on the exam and performance. This cutoff is not fixed, it changes every year. The average cutoff is as follows.

The Cutoff score of MAT is 94+ Percentile.
The Cutoff score of CMAT is 94+ percentile.
The Cutoff score of CAT is 80+ percentile.

There is an availability of a total of 120 seats for admission per year. The application fee is INR 1500. NIBM Pune selection centers for admission are at Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow.
