Our college - AMC

Likes

The library of our college is so good and peaceful
The college is within the hospital premises so it is easy for us to go by walk
The cancer block of our hospital is good

Dislikes

The infrastructure is a bit bad cause it is old
The hospital could be maintained a little neat and clean
The classrooms for each subject are far and we should change alot and is difficult

Admission:

I only applied for this college firstly. I chose this college because of my sister. I want to stay close to her. And also by her review about this college. I was remarked that AMC is best college to study clinics. This is the first college I got selected and since I want to join here I didn't applied for other colleges. To join any MBBS college you should first write a written exam called neet. A national test to join MBBS. Every age group starting from 17 years and every caste are eligible to write this exam. The cutoffs are based on the college position and caste also.

Admission:

As andhra medical college is top college in andhra pradesh and also 7th oldest college in providing medical education . it resides in the Vishakapatnam and there is beautiful beach for having fun and peace . And this makes college so special from others . The patient exposure and clinical experience is also very good here .

I love the food of the mess , each meal , each day , each week , evry month we used to have feast of veg and non veg varieties
The hostel was good , that wasn't awesome but good and nice and comfortable, and modifications of hostel takes place monthly
I like the organisation of seniors in the hostel

Dislikes

Sometimes the electricity was poor and ..
Few times we may feel like we need better
I think that's all I could say about this hostel

Admission:

I like andhra medical college cause it was the top college of Andhra Pradesh and that was close to my hometown so I can go whenever I feel like miss my home , and classes were nice may be a bit old but warm

Teaching is very nice. Very well coordinating staff non-teaching also
Nice relationship with seniors. They helped us very much during final exams
As this is a medical college there is no question of placements

Dislikes

I am an introvert so i am not interested in events
This college conducts a lot of events,we have to participate though we have no interest
I am not satisfied with the provision of facilities

Admission:

I have an ambition of joining in aiims but i didn't get it and as amc is the best college in our state i have applied to it I didn't get aiims because the cut off rose very much in the year i have applied fir counselling

Experienced faculty is present and classes are taken regularly
Course curriculum is mostly alloted only for studies and clinicals
I understood how to interact with the faculty and campus activities

Dislikes

The effectiveness of placements is relatively not satisfactory
Aspects like equipment and benches and rooms can be improved
Mentorship is not well done. We have no provision to know who our mentors are

Admission:

I haven't applied for any other college as this college is the top college in our state and is near to our village. I have attained the eligibility for this college by attempting neet and clearing that As I didn't apply for any other college, I didn't face any rejections

I liked the college atmosphere,they teach well ,they help us in academics
I liked the college library,it is very helpful for reading without wasting time
Practical knowledge is provided,we will be taken to clinicals

Dislikes

Old infrastructure,some practical equipment should be improved
Inadequate hostel facilities,mess should be improved
Open college, outsiders can also enter some safety should be ensured

Admission:

I got a confirmed admission from rangaraya medical college,but I have chosen to update my college. The admission process to our college is either through all india or state counseling. I got the eligibility to this college my attempting neet

Our Andhra medical College - pride of us

Likes

Good lectures by the professors . They are very good and teaches us with great interest. Usually they are very punctual to the classes and sometimes takes extra time if needed.
Good opportunities for growth and labs and ward postings , NCC
I love the library of our college.its a peaceful place for studying

Dislikes

Events in our college are conducted frequently
As our college was 100 years old . Infrastructure was a little old.
As our college is along with the hospital. I think it will be better if college was separate from the hospital

I chose this college because of its history and it's the best college in AP for medice. And in ward postings we can see a vast variety of cases in the KGH hospital. Compared to other colleges, we don't have study periods and weekly exams . I applied for AIIMS college but I was not taken due to shortage of marks.

I choose this college because it is the best and procedures college in whole Andhra Pradesh I didn't reject any other colleges I choose only on college this Andhra medical College students are most prefer to this college.

Insight of a 5 year pride

Likes

Academics Hostel Infrastructure Clinical experience Location at the heart of the city Good medical college Friendly seniors Good experiences Internship is very good Pass percentage is very high
College fests are great Very less of cost
Nice faculty Good hostel Lots of freedom

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good Very old buildings
Hospital maintaiance is very bad All drugs are not available
Hectic internship Hostel is little distant from college

Admission:

You need to get a good score in the NEET UG to get an admission in AMC because all the seats are allocated purely based on merit Also the fee here is very less since it is a government college It is the top most college in the state of Andhra Pradesh
