College-Expectation or Illusion?

Likes

The Infrastructure is good compared to many off campus du colleges.
Professors and administrative staff are cooperative.
College is not affiliated with Delhi university Student Union.

Dislikes

It's all girls colleges, deemed toxic compared to co-ed colleges.
Societies are inactive. You can't partake in activities.
Placement of seniors are not high in terms of packages.

Compared to previous college allocated, which was Kalindi college, this college has better Infrastructure, faculty and environment. It is less hectic compared to schedule of Kalindi college. If you want to pursue another course or prepare for any competitive exam then SPM is beeter option.

PERFECT COLLEGE FOR ONE LOOKING FOR EDUCATION AND FUN AT SAME TIME

Likes

The Building was well maintained and hygenic.
There were different Buildings for Library, Staff, Administration and Students.
The canteen was well maintained with indoor and outdoor sitting along with a nescafe cafeteria.

Dislikes

The timings for classes should start from 9:30 am onwards
There should be more benches added to the ground
Students should be allowed to enter college though any college document if they forget id card.

Admission:

I choose this college because that was the most nearest from my house and the best that i can get admitted to. The fee stucture was very good. Also the overall ratings and reviews were all good about this college that i have checked. I got admission in the first list of allotment so i never went for any other college for admission.

SPMCW is Special!!

Shri Ram Prasad Auditorium of our college is one of the biggest as not just our college even media houses have hosted events at our college.
From Shivaji Park Metro Station our college is so close that one can even walk to the college.
Our college has a special society called Tarash which is a personal development society and it actually has helped students to develop themselves.

Dislikes

An all girls college has its own disadvantages as we will never know how it is to compete with the boys.

I applied at colleges such as LSR and Gargi purely because they were also girls colleges and are above ranked than my college. In DU though a proper merit system works and in that merit my score couldn't get admission in those two colleges. Hence the third best women college option is where I am studying and I am more or less satisfied with that.

Off-Campus Life

Likes

The college is very spacious with big grounds, sports area, gym and herb garden. For any off campus college it is very beautiful. College has in-house stationary and print shop which is cheaper than market. The library is also big and has many books.
The faculty for our subject are good too.
The college has good auditorium and an incubation centre. Lots of activities are organized in the college to engage us.

Dislikes

Firstly, placement. The college has a placement cell but it is not very active. They are unable to bring any good companies for job and also the companies that come do not have much good salary to offer.
The college is very strict in terms of attendance which becomes a trouble for those preparing for other competitive exams. The attendance criteria restricts us from doing a lot of activities.
The college lacks a hostel while it has the space for it. This is a problem for those from outside Delhi. They have to live in very expensive PG or rent a flat at distant places.

Admission:

I applied in Lucknow university and also gave IPMAT exams. I was selected in Lucknow university for bba but i still opted for this college. In IPMAT too I was selected for the interview round of IIM Rohtak but could not get in. I chose this college as it comes under Delhi University, making it cheaper as well as well reputed. The admission is simple you have to give CUET exam and score based on cutoff. If your cutoff matches college criteria you get admission here.

Average infrastructure and teaching

Likes

Since it was a girls college I could interact with a lot of them easily.
The surrounding area of the college was very peaceful and better than other parts of delhi.

Dislikes

There was no placement and job security. Also the infrastructure was not that much developed.
There was a shortage of books in library and was not fully air conditioned.

Admission:

I chose this college because i wanted a degree in computer science and also wanted to study in Delhi University. At that time I got it through 12th boards results but now you can get admission through entrance exam known as CUET.

College with Good Environment

Likes

I liked the college greenery environment , infrastructure, diversity, good social interaction between teachers and students.
The method of teaching is good and they provide and teach explanation of each and every topic of the syllabus of course.
The college has good infrastructural library and good canteen.

Dislikes

It is located on off campus (punjabi bagh west)
There is a problem of network in some parts the network can't work properly.
No hostel facilities which is one of the disadvantage if u are taking admission in this college.

Admission:

I have taken admission in DU -2021, At that time, Cut off geography honours in du was quite high as well as for the other subject. According to cut off, My class 12th marks (93.4%) was matched with Geography course of SPM, College du. I have got easily admission without any disruption.

A broad view on campus life

Likes

Cafeteria food is affordable and accordingly taste is good
Classmates are friendly and helping regarding study and every other stuff
Teachers are helping too regarding study

Dislikes

The office members are not that friendly
The infrastructure of classroom is poor the fans are not that fast

I have applied for this college because it comes under DU and it shows a great impact on our resume on the time of job offer. The prices of the course is affordable too. The private colleges have comparatively higher prices but with better facilities. I didn't went to other college because it was high in price . We have to give exam of cuet to get admission in DU. We get different types of results in different categories.

My college boasts state-of-the-art facilities, from well-equipped labs and libraries to modern classrooms and auditoriums. The campus is designed to foster innovation and learning.
The vibrant campus life is what I cherish the most. From cultural festivals to sports events... faculties and mentors are very supportive.
Overall, my college offers the perfect blend of academics, extracurricular activities, and personal growth. I feel proud to be a part of this community.

Dislikes

While I love my college, there are areas for improvement:
Infrastructure: 1. Limited parking space for students. 2. Outdated equipment in some labs. 3. Insufficient study areas and seating. Areas for growth and improvement: Infrastructure:Upgrading labs and study spaces to match our innovative spirit.

Admission:

I choose this college because of many factors i.e., academic programs and specialization,cost and financial aids, campus culture and extracurriculum, reputation and faculty members. This college provides great explosure to one's future. As this college comes the delhi university, one has to appear for cuet examination. For giving cuet one has to score a good marks in their boards and the cut off for my college starts from 600 score in cuet and above 75% in boards. The most preferred course in my college is most probably b.a(hons) political science.

My clg life

Likes

The canteen gotta be my most favourite because of affordability and taste
It's very peaceful and the environment is good with big grounds and many other areas for the students
The professors are very good with their teaching methods

Dislikes

There isn't enough space in class for everyone to be comfortable
The fans aren't enough it's really hot because of the large amount of students
There isn't proper management for the students

Admission:

I didn't particularly choose this clg but rather it was assigned to me and I do think it's pretty decent considering that... The admission process as well was quite easy and overall experience of admission was good

EXPERIENCE OF COLLEGE LIFE !!

Likes

I did like the campus area with huge ground, and adjustable classrooms. The campus is surrounded with many varieties of tree anf flower plants creating a green environment aroung the college. The canteen is also spacious with large area to sit.
The other thing I like about the college are the easy going behavior of the professors who teach us. They are really soft spoken and never burden the students to do a lot of work. They teaching staff is humble.
Another thing is that it is a ragging free campus where girls are liberal and respectful. They don't create any type of unhealthy or unsafe environment. Everyone is poilte and helpful towards each other and with the freshers also.

Dislikes

The first thing that I disliked about the college is the administration staff. They talk very rudely to the students. When the student need right guidelines and instructions or any query they go to the administration who ignore them.
The other thing I disliked is the canteen's unhealthy food. It causes stomachache and other indigestion problems. And the canteen staff don't make the food properly. Also there had been seen many dead insects inside the food of canteen.
The other cons is that the college doesn't have cctv cameras on every place that causes the students to steal money or other belongings of other students. The college should have cctv cameras on every corner.

I did not apply to any other college because it was the only college I got admission in the last special spot round admissions. I did not get any rejection from any other college because I was not able to apply there with my less marks. The admission process of ny college was easy. The eligibility was to score out the entrance exam CUET with the best marks possible.
