PCACS Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

While the college does provide placements, not all placements are suited for master's students. Besides that, the college staff often forward the students any job/internship opportunities available. I'm planning to do a course and work as an anime content writer at Sportskeeda for the time being.

The lowest salary package offered is about 2 LPA and the highest salary package offered is about 8 LPA-9 LPA. The roles offered by students are related to their courses. Reputed companies come for recruitment in college, like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys.

The institution provides several excellent placements. All the students in Semester 6 are eligible to apply for campus placements. A wide number of companies visit the campus like Infosys, IDBI bank, etc. After graduating from college I'm planning to pursue MBA in finance.

After semester 4, students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies send their job vacancies to the college where the college provides placement opportunities to students eligible for it through the placement cell of the college. The companies can also provide an annual package as highest as 7-8 L per annum.

I had completed my bachelor's in biotechnology and had decided to complete my master's degree in the same, as it has been a subject that had always fascinated me from the time it was introduced to me, and with the incredible faculty of Pillai college, the interest and the inquisitive nature has only grown over the time. For the B.Sc is 60 and for M.Sc it is 40, the number of faculty is 15 teaching and 4 non-teaching staff in the department which makes it well balanced and there have never been any delays in any of the activities be it practical or theory lectures. The teachers have always been ready to offer any help and guidance when I have faced any hurdles be it on the academic or emotional front, they have always been supportive. The teaching methods used are very interactive, videos regarding the topic were constantly been utilised, and reference books, were always made aware of opportunities available, all this always helped me in scoring good marks in the exams.

I chose this course as I was having a keen interest in the field of biotechnology. As biotech in this current era is having a very wide application in the field of pharmaceutics, forensics, etc. Most of the faculty are PhD holders and masters in the subject.

Biotechnology is a trending field in science. I like biology and research. Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary subject that gives you overall information related to science. PCACS Biotechnology department has experienced faculty members having PhD or post-grad qualifications. Term exams are twice a year and the difficulty level is moderate.

From 2 semesters the placements are available. Placement is a very good opportunity for students to get in contact with various organisations. Placement is not limited to the no of students, it can be applied and is reviewed based on the ability of the student.

Students who are pursuing their degree and are in their last year are eligible for campus placement. Many companies have visited and made offers such as ICICI Lombard, BSE, Sutherland, Motilal Oswal and so on. Many students are successfully placed at great companies from these campus placements. I am planning to pursue MBA in Finance as of now.

The college is providing the best placement as compared to other institutes. The company is BSC, IDFC, Infosys, Wipro, IDBI, ICICI, and many more. The offers are available only for those students who are actually willing and serious about the job. The salary depends upon their knowledge and performance also some other facilities are available.
