AI-Generated Summary based on 17 Reviews

Admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) requires candidates to pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The selection is made through a counseling process based on NEET scores and state ranks. For general candidates, cutoffs have been mentioned around 473 to 480, with a different cutoff for reserved categories like ST, which was noted at 400.

Counseling determines admission based on merit, and some seats are reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ). The college offers approximately 50 seats annually. Admission documents include a medical checkup certificate with the admission fee being INR 47,500 per annum, which is generally considered affordable. Despite high competition and the limited number of seats, the counseling process is reported to be smooth if documentation is ready. Some reviews mention higher admission fees yet find the process transparent.

Proximity to home, state familiarity, and family considerations also influence the choice among students. Students opting for this government-affiliated institution usually prioritize JNIMS due to its regional location and clarity in the admission process, in contrast with direct or management quota entries, which are not applicable here.

Admission:

I choose this college because its in my state itself. It feels nore save and secure for girls to be in their own home place. The language medium and the living culture is the biggest parameter for choosing this college over others. For the admission process... We attend counselling after giving neet exam. Only if we get selection we can go for admission though its very hard to get through neet for this because the competition is so high and this course offer only 50 seat in a year again which few seats will be preserved for AIQ.
