RMC MD (SPM) Fees

The MD (Social & Preventive Medicine) programme at RMC Kakinada is offered at a highly subsidised fee under the government quota. The total tuition fee for the entire 3-year programme is Rs. 90,000, payable at Rs. 30,000 per year. This is among the lowest PG medical fees in India, reflecting the government-run nature of the institution. All seats are filled through NEET PG-based counselling.

The College Development Society fee of Rs. 30,000 is paid at the time of admission via online QR code to College Development Society, RMC, Kakinada.

PG students are entitled to a monthly stipend (Rs. 60,823 to Rs. 64,767 per month, revised w.e.f. January 1, 2024), which significantly offsets living and hostel expenses.
Hostel facilities are available on campus. Monthly hostel rent is approximately Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 3,000, and mess charges are approximately Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,500 per month. Hostel is not mandatory.
A bond of Rs. 3,00,000 + 18% GST is required for course discontinuation. Non-service candidates must also execute a bond for one year of compulsory government/rural service; failure to comply attracts a penalty of Rs. 40,00,000.

RMC MD (SPM) Admission 2026

Admission to MD (Social & Preventive Medicine) at RMC Kakinada is conducted through NEET PG-based centralised counselling. Seats are filled via the MCC All India Quota (AIQ) counselling (50% seats) and AP State Quota counselling conducted by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences (50% seats). Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC/MCI-recognised institution.
Candidates must have completed their compulsory rotating internship (CRRI) on or before the cutoff date specified by NBEMS for NEET PG 2026 (tentatively September 30, 2026).
Candidates must have a valid NEET PG 2026 score and rank.

Admission Process

Register and appear for NEET PG 2026 conducted by NBEMS.
Based on NEET PG rank, participate in MCC AIQ counselling (mcc.nic.in) for 50% All India Quota seats.
For state quota seats (50%), register for AP State PG counselling conducted by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences (drntr.uhsap.in).
Submit required documents including MBBS degree, internship certificate, NEET PG scorecard, caste certificate (if applicable), and identity proof.
Execute the required bond at the time of admission.
Pay the college fee at the time of joining.
