Rangaraya Medical College

Likes

The college atmosphere is very good which are surrounded by greenary.
The faculty in the first year are very nice and approachable.
We can manage the college life with study and fests.

Dislikes

The atmosphere in summer gets very hot and humid.

Internship will be the best oportunity in the college as it exposes the students to more practical experience and they will easily gain experience from it. The stipend given to the house surgeons are around 22,000.

My college

Likes

We experience direct exposure with the patients which help us to learn the diseases practically
The library has a vast diversity of medical and non medical books and also have medical journals
The teachers are doctors themselves that are in practice now

Dislikes

The hospital premises are unclean at some points
Sometimes due to high patient flow in hospital the doctors cannot attend the classes

Internships Opportunities:

We can get into any of the college in andhra pradesh for internship it depends on our choice, our college has also internship opportunities where we are provided with 25000 salary every month. We can have lot of experience

Mbbs is cool

Likes

Campus is fairly big with trees.one of the best colleges in the state.
Has ground for cricket, basketball, tennis, volleyball, football, badminton table tennis etc
Faculty are well experienced, teaching quality is very good

Dislikes

Sometimes professors can be too strict also.
There's nothing to dislike about it actually
And building are quite old but they are remodeling them.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is given at hospital for for working for one year.after qualifying final year... Internship schedule are also quite hectic. It's gives nice experience with patient interaction etc thanks you.

Good college

Likes

Environment for study is too good to score high marks
Infrastrutture and hospital facilities are also good more than expected
Climatic conditions are also too good for better results in study

Dislikes

Drainage system is too poor and very sunken smell arises as a result of this
Electricity problems are more often in my hostel
Pests and other drainage related problems are present on all the year

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is done in our college itself only and is paid with stypend and with an extra amount based on injection duties and night duties given to the interns based of number of working days and time

I want to expalin in it in three points, First i liked the administrative campus which is filled with green trees everywhere.
I liked the sports events when i was in first year of mbbs, there used to be a physical director sir who took care of the sports section in the campus

Dislikes

There are two seperate campus for the first year and remaining years which is a distant place
Due to covid pandemic the duration of the course decreased drastically from 12 months to 9 months which kept a pressure on every student

Internship should be done in Government general hospital kakinada only because we have studied in the local government college and everyone passing final year part 2 are promoted to internship and it is having a duration of one complete year and interns are posted in every department for one month duration

All about Rangaraya medical college, the 2nd top medical college in AP

Likes

The atmosphere of the college is calm and peaceful with greenery
The faculty teaching are doctors themselves and have share their experience in the hospital

Dislikes

Due to high op in the hospital the doctors are not available for the students to clear thier doubts in the hospital
Sometimes due to high patient flow in the hospital the faculty ( doctors) cannot attend the class

Internships Opportunities:

The college itself provides their own students internship opportunities in the tertiary Healthcare linked with it , Government General Hospital, GGH , Kakinada. The internship was total a duration of 1 yr of which 10 months of duty was in the ggh kkd itself and remaining 2 months of duty in the Rural Healthcare linked with ggh , kkd. The management also pays the student a scholarship of 20k to 25k every month on the basis of their work provided in the hospital.

The life of a Medico

Likes

The college has good teaching faculty , they conduct almost each and every events and that brings smiles and enjoyment on every faces.
The college has variety of sports options to choose from.they provide opportunities for researches also.campus is good with greenary and trees everywhere.
The classes are fully digitalized, they have big touch screen boards and projectors. They have air conditioning in the galleries.

Dislikes

Hostel can be upgraded, mess facility is not good enough,we have frequent complaints from mess
Our college lacks gym which should be a basic facility in every colleges,washroom facilities should also be improved

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is done under our college only and as duty doctors. Writing prescriptions, helping doctors and management of cases are done by interns. They are assigned to every departments and even outside of hospital also.stipend is less compared to the work load

The rmc a college of academics

Likes

Classrooms are good, play grounds are good
Especially general surgery, ophthalmology , pediatric surgery departments are good
Some departments will care about you and some will not

Dislikes

Vice principal both administrative and academic
Academic vice principal good but she will not encourage sports
Administrative vice principal is worst and i hate him

Internships Opportunities:

Probably monthly 25 000 /- will be given With too much work Intern needs to used ????in all aspects After that 1 year we have write neet pg After that postgraduation we need to focus on Superspeciality..

Rangaraya updates 2024

Likes

Galleries are good with projectors and air conditioners .and lot of students can be seated upto 200 .there are separate courts for playing games and indoor shuttle space and large indoor audit .
Each department has a HOD, 1/2 Professors ,many assistant professors and pgs working together .different chapters dealt by different professors at the same time .strict attendance monitoring , no mass bunking , strict internals with schedules .
Teaching is good . Ptofessors are medical practitioners so they are updated and share their clinical experience to improve our knowledge

Dislikes

Hostels for first year students were no so proper ..for first few months so i ended up staying outside .later on main building rooms were alloted for hostlers tho.
Overall its good ..college has good name because of strict administration and funding from previous students other organisations..
Rules are strict ..timings for hostel closing is 8 after which u are not allowed into or out even in case of emergency . I dont dislike .its just like a problem bcoz sometime exceptionally we can be late eg dance practice or journey etc

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is must in the hospital of ggh ..no student choice in state colleges .entire one year period , its very difficult but mandatory . Posted to different departments to experience as well as serve our purpose there . Refferes as interns or house surgeons we need to do whatever our faculty asks. Stipend is around 25k per month

Placement Experience:

The placements are excellent. We have to prepare consecutively for the PG entrance exam along with the internship. Almost 90 % of students do get pg seats from our college
