The infrastructure is old in the college but it's definitely not a matter. As IMDR is the oldest B-school in Pune. IMDR is the part of DES Society which includes 5 colleges like BMCC, IMDR, FERGUSON, etc
My campus which is IMDR which is the sister college of Ferguson college which is a well known college of pune. Its a big area in which these two colleges are situated interms of size its not that big usually the colleges are these days but being the oldest B-school of pune it has all the potential areas which a college must have.
The campus life is good and the gender ratio is decent but the gender is dominated by men for the females. The students are from all over India but the maximum students are from Maharashtra. The economic status of the students is of average families. There are different inter-college sports events that are conducted every year. There is an IBM lab on the campus that is used to teach SAP and excel
IMDR is the oldest business school in Pune. Its old infrastructure is the proof of its existence, the vibes of roaming inside the campus give the nostalgic feeling to all the students whoever were the part of IMDR. One is going to attach with the campus as students end up spending more time with each other on campus after working hours and also on weekend. You can meet college Alumni on the weekend who comes to feel the vibes of campus once they were part of. The college has around 60:40 male/female ratio and the most important thing is students are from different regions of the country which makes it a different hub of learning as they share their language and culture. There is a computer lap for different courses available within curriculum like (Excel & SAP) and other courses on extra charges.
Hostel facilities are pretty good. And similar to other expenses, it is also pretty feasible. I paid 75 k as my one-year hostel charges. Hostel rooms are spacious. Boys hostel is relatively newer than the girls' hostel. We made lots of drool-worthy memories in the hostel and made a lot of good friends.
We had a pretty great infrastructure on our campus, especially the sports ground. Students are motivated towards taking part in various sports activities. Our college provided excellent facilities for sports both indoors and outdoors. A number of workshops are also a part of our curriculum.
They share the hostel with Ferguson College.
All the things are good at some point of level , Decent parties. Yes for , extra curricular activities. Hostel life is just awsome if the friend circle is cool.
Campus life is good students from all the states are there from jammu & Kashmir to Tamil nadu. One can spend some quality time as infrastructure is uniquely designed. Extracurricular is good as one can enjoy some quality time at table tennis room, carrom board room and plays sports like badminton etc in campus itself. IMDR is part of Fergusson college so other sports like Football and Cricket usually played there. Labs are well equipped and library is one of the best in Pune. Students usually participate in National and state competitions in sports, debates and MBA related competitions.
The college only provided a boys hostel. No accommodation was provided to girls and we had to make our own PG/hostel arrangement. The average rental during that time in and around the college area was about 4000-6000 per person per month. The college had a small canteen which was homely and catered to very basic needs. However, quality of food and service was below average.
