Ques. Is CLAT mandatory for admission to the B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programme at ILNU, and what is the application process?
Ans. Yes, CLAT 2026 is mandatory for admission under the General and NRI Sponsored categories. Candidates must register for CLAT through the Consortium of NLUs website and also separately fill the ILNU application form online with a fee of Rs. 2,500. Admission is based on the inter se All India Rank of CLAT 2026. Genuine NRI candidates are not required to appear in CLAT, but preference is given to those with CLAT scores.
Ques. What is the total seat intake for B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) at ILNU, and how does it compare to B.A., LL.B. and B.Com., LL.B.?
Ans. The B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programme has a total intake of 120 seats (102 General + 18 NRI/NRI Sponsored). In comparison, B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) has 180 seats and B.Com., LL.B. (Hons.) has 60 seats. The BBA LLB stream is ideal for students who want to combine business and legal education, particularly for careers in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and business advisory.

Ans. From the second year onwards, students pay only the tuition fees (Rs. 3,75,000 per year) and the yearly examination/grade report charges (Rs. 7,000 per year), totalling Rs. 3,82,000 per year. One-time charges such as security deposit, enrolment fee, student activity fee, and alumni fee are paid only in the first year.
Ques. Does ILNU provide hostel facility for B.B.A., LL.B. students, and is it mandatory?
Ans. Hostel facility is available for girls on campus with modern amenities. It is not mandatory. Hostel fees range from Rs. 85,000 to Rs. 1,05,000 for 10 months depending on the room type, with mess fees (Rs. 58,800) and laundry charges (Rs. 5,500) payable separately. Male students need to arrange off-campus accommodation; the university provides transportation from major locations in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Ques. What is the scholarship amount and how can a student apply for the merit-based scholarship at ILNU?
Ans. ILNU offers merit-based scholarships of up to Rs. 2 lakh per annum for the top 4 students and Rs. 1.5 lakh for the next 5 students. Merit-cum-means scholarships of up to Rs. 2 lakh per annum are available for students whose parents' annual income is Rs. 4 lakh or less. Students must submit the scholarship application form along with required annexures (available on the ILNU website) and maintain a PPI of 7.0 and above for renewal. NRI/NRI Sponsored students are not eligible for institutional scholarships.
