MBA core provides a holistic approach to all subjects. The faculty is highly qualified and adaptive to the online mode. They give good assignments to us and the teaching method is very exceptional. Exams were in the online mode under strict invigilation on zoom calls.
I chose MBA at NMIMS because of the various career opportunities and an excellent placement record over the last 10 years. Added to that was the big alumni network that the college provides for student interaction and exposure coupled with an exchange program to various countries abroad as well. The student to faculty ratio is around 65:10 and the professors are highly qualified in their field with industry experts as well.
This was the only course I could get into. Student faculty ratio is about 20:1. All professors have a graduate degree and must hold a PhD with multiple years of experience in both industry and academia A trimester system is used and tests are moderately difficult.
The course curriculum is good and descriptive. the faculty-student ratio is also good: 1:30. Exams and quizzes happen from time to time. Highly qualified teachers with good industry experience are there as well.
I've chosen this course as I was fascinated by Financial Markets and wanted to get into Finance roles. Faculty-student ratio: 1:12. Faculty are highly qualified and almost all of them have their PhDs. Term exams were conducted in a smooth manner.
I have chosen the MBA core course over the other specific specialization like HR or others as I was interested in the managerial aspect of a job but had not yet decided on which specialisation among finance, operations, marketing or general management or others; So keeping my options open with an MBA core specialisation would be beneficial for me to take a year to explore the subjects and choose an apt specialisation that would me. NMIMS Mumbai has some of the best faculty in the nation and they come from diverse backgrounds with loads of experience and are highly qualified. We also have visiting faculties and guess sessions and classes are conudcted with a case methodology in mind. The quizzes and assignments are spread throughout the trimesters and then the final trimester exams are held at the end of every trimster. To do well academically it is important to be well read on a regular basis and be actively working on getting the practical exposure to deepen the understanding.
The flagship MBA course comprises six trimesters spread across two years. Each class has anywhere between 55 and 65 students. The eminent faculty members come with strong academic backgrounds as well as industry experience. The case study based pedagogy plays an instrumental role in understanding the nuances of the subjects.
All the faculty come with strong academic backgrounds and Ph.D.'s or in the process of pursuing Ph.D.'s in the subjects that they teach. Term exams happen at the middle of the trimester and then at the end. Exams are of high level and focus more on understanding and application of concepts rather than just writing theory.
1.) I MBA because it was the most logical step to attain a mix of practical and theoretical knowledge of the corporate world after BMS. 2.) We have around 50 faculties for about 600 students. 3.) 75% of the faculties hold a Ph.D. and every teacher for every subject follows the case study method of teaching. Corporate officials are also called for guest lectures. 4.) We have three trimesters each year for two years, i.e. one trimester every three months.
The majority of the faculties at NMIMS are with a Doctorate degree, the ones who don't have comes with a lot of industry experiences. Despite having a different department for all four core specialization of area, NMIMS comprises of different departments for Strategy, Business communication, and economics. Each department comprises many faculties. Apart from these full-time faculties, NM has many eminent professionals working as visiting faculties. The course curriculum is common for everyone in the first year. For the subsequent year, the specialization depends on the number of electives chosen from a specific domain. The evaluation is conducted on a trimester basis, which includes mid-term exams for few subjects. The marks per subject are divided among class participation, group & individual projects, and written examination varies from subject to subject.
