A honest review of DCET

Likes

its gas separate building for both science and engineering students
bank is the main benefit we get if we need to withdraw money

Dislikes

labs are not fully equipped when we have to do experiment
computers dont work properly only few works
management dont cooperate with us they act like superior

Admission:

i choose this college because it has very big name and when i applied for an free placement i got my seat in this college this is also the reason i took this college over other college we have to right emcet examination if we can qualify with good marks we get free placement in this college with minimal fees

The good old Days

Likes

I liked my college experience with staff and friendly teachers
Friends and teachers with good experience
Strict examinations and night hours with friends

Dislikes

Small college with many students and strict timings
If late sir was punising the students specially male students
Very far the college was and teaching method was not so good

Admission:

I choose this college for my better future becuase that was only good college in my village and I started my career from there and here i am we are just improving our life and I couldn't make it to other colleges because it was the only good college where i use to live. The admission process was easy and everyone was available when We needed them.

Likes

Faculty is good and motivates students to do something
the lectures are understandable and simple
Environment and positivity of the college and friends which i have met

Dislikes

College infrastructures is not good enough

Admission:

There were 2 other colleges i applied to 1.Lords 2.MJ and i got confirmed admission from Lords college, but i choosed this college because this college is populer for engineering and it was near to my house. I got rejected from MJ college due to its higher cutoff marks. The admissin will be done through counselling and management. Students prefer EMCET exam and it is elidible for B.E course. The cutoff Ranks are 65000-75000 and overall admission experience was good and worthy

i liked nothing about my college. it is the worst college in hyderabad
only there is no problem for the attendance
there timings are comfortable to come and go

Dislikes

i dislike the fee structure and all the management
the staff is very old so the teaching is not good
no facilities like canteen or anything so waste of time

i choosed this college because it was nearest to my house .. tbh i wanted to choose mj over deccan because this college does not have any type of facilities students suffer alot here so i sm regretting slot by choossing this

How to ruin your life in deccan college

Likes

Deccan college have best quality of faculty but there quantity is pretty low and this is very effective to your tuition, they are taking 2-3 subjects by one lecture this is very budden for them too. They are lakhs of students from different streams
Infrastructure of college is very old and this doesn't affect you being ghosted or anything they cherish you with full of heart and they uses fantastic techniques to make you understand the syllabus
They pretty bunch of facilities of labs and they have all needed equipments or apparatus

Dislikes

Old monuments of college, some parts of building are broken and no. Of faculties are low
No strict towards late comers and absentees and don't have canteen facility
Education is pretty low and they dont have quality in some subjects

Admission:

I choose this college because it's very nearer to my home About other college I don't know this college was my first preference and luckily and hardwork I got this but after enrollment iam regretting ????

The dark side of DCET and engineering

Likes

I liked the discipline maintained in the classes, with lecturers always looking out for students who might be roaming around in campus. Makes a vulgar free environment
I liked the freedom in attendance and also how chill some lecturers might get with students.

Dislikes

The college doesn't have many qualified lecturers as of now and most of them have resigned in the past year
The college has very strict guidelines about boys and girls in free mixing and even talking to one another
College has no canteen, events, freshers, or anything. Campus is really boring and bad infrastructure

Admission:

The eligibility for this college is really low and literally anyone can come in here if they got a rank in eamcet. The cse seats are up in numbers and most students are coming in who got like 1l rank in eamcet. No problem for eligibility but i wouldve preferred other colleges like mj instead

Likes

The thing i like was registration process was easy.
The course which i want was having good faculty.
Timing of the college was very good from morning 9 to 3.

Dislikes

The college premises which not very clean and maintained.
Labs were also not maintained and taken often too.
The working staaf there is very rude. Not good.

Admission:

I applied for 3 colleges in total and i choose this because it was near to my home and the i got the government quoata seat in thos college so i didnt have to pay the tution fees. The admission process is easy but they keep the original documents with them only.

A tuff college life in India

Likes

The Lecturers are too friendly and supportive
Best college for minorities in centre of the city
Punctual and standards are been mintained

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good and extra curricular activities is missing
Cultural fest and educational fair are not conducted
No common rooms for boys, no sports and no canteen

Admission:

I applied around 5 colleges, MJCET, LCET, NSACET and SCET. I choose Deccan college of engineering because it was very near, fees was too low. I didn't got any rejections, The eligibility exam is EAMCET through which we get 100% scholarship from government. The cutoff is 40 marks from 160

The college had good practical laboratories
The staff/faculty were very friendly and helpful
The college was open gate letting us leave or join any class we like.

Dislikes

Curriculum which is quite messed up everywhere
Maintenance was not good, no proper sanitation or drinking water facilities
No extracurricular activities until our batch though.

Admission:

There is a seat based system after EAMCET where we get picked from universities which we applied but in a serial order. For example my 1st priority college rejected me and this college which was at 2nd picked me. Now my application doesn't reach to the 3rd, 4th priority colleges because I already got picked. I selected this college because it was close to my house.
