I got IIIT Dharwad CSE. Is it good to join there or shall I proceed to round two? What is the mentor institute for IIIT Dharwad?

IIIT Dharwad is a newly established institute and it will be better not to make high expectations from this institute yet. It is running as a temporary campus at IT Park. Still, things have got little changes as it has permanent faculty, sports ground, labs infrastructure, as it got the mentor-like IIIT Bangalore. You must go for round 2 without any doubt. Because this institute is running in a provisional campus in a free building and the college administration does not have a single penny to pay rent or take a permanent campus. Everything is going on charity in this institute. Infrastructures, lab facilities, hostels, mess, administration, and most importantly, the placement is lagging; in short, all these are very poor. The following table gives a brief overview of IIIT Dharwad, considering its placement process: Criteria IIIT Dharwad Highest CTC 11 LPA Lowest CTC 5 LPA Average CTC 6.5 LPA Students get extremely worst treatment here, specifically in the hostels, as it has no facilities and the mess is completely pathetic. College administration is totally frustrated and not even able to run the central Government institute. It is better to select some other private college rather than this IIIT. However, attendance here is very reluctant, which is 85%, but college administration considers the below percentage if the student gives them any excuses.

The year wise total fees is gradually increasing like in first year along with caution deposit is 20k , hostel deposit is 10k , admission fees is 10,000 which is included ,hostel and mess fees is 252400 and then in second year it becomes 212400 and then it gradually increases by 2-3k per year. This fees includes Hostel , Mess and Insitiute fees. So the tution fees is 167400 remains constant , Hostel fees is 25k and increases gradualyy by 3k per year and mess fees is 20k which remains constant. there is no any other fees required other than that for any lab or development and all. Such that there is no official scholarship given by college from their side we have to avail own our own or partenered banks can give loans on low interest .

Review of IIIT DHARWAD by a student

The fee structure of the course in my college is about 2 Lakh per semester and which makes 4 Lakh approx per year it may be a huge amount but there is a scholarship known as NSP which refunds the amount for merit students and *this is not for general students* and here student loan is also available if want to know about that you can contact to the campus staff they will explain regarding the loan and it's procedure.

tution fee is arounf 1.5 lakh per semester and no such hikes are being in this college. the complete cost of our education including tution fee service fee and other complulsary fees is around 4 lakh per year and 16 lakh for the full course. scholarships depends on the state and category u belonf to. as its not for every student. till now no job roles and stipend has been awarded to me.

The tution fees for 1 year is around 4 lakh. So for your 4 years of Btech degree you have to pay around 16 lakh. Apart from it 40 thousand is charge as hostel fees per semester. So for a 4 year Btech degree will cost you around 20 lakh rupees including all your expenses. The tution fees is not increased every year and college also provides Education loan facility to the students with Mou with the Canara Bank. Other than that college also provides scholarship for pwd students and Sc and St students and students of the respective state according to their family income. No scholarships for the students whose parents do government jobs. No special campus employment is provided High fees is the biggest drawback of this college since facilities provided did not match with the fees taken.

Tuition fee for each semester is 1.5 lakhs and hostel and mess fees is 22k each for each semester. The complete cost of education comes down to 16 to 17 lakh. Ther is no fees hike for that matter . Many banks provide education loan for our college so thats helpful

Being IIITDwdian ! All you need to know before entering IIIT Dharwad!

Fees structure over here is quite simple. Per semester, institute fees ks about 152500 inr, hostel fees including mess charges is about 45000 inr per semester. There seems to be no fees hike policy, but we need to pay caution money and security deposit in the first semester. There are many government policies that college helps securing for scholarships. Also, students can avail student loans if required.

Facts About IIITDWD

The fee is quite high compared to other institutes and the chances for scholarships for general category students is pretty low. The fee hikes every two semesters . I didn't avail any financial assistance or scholarship throught the campus.
